i am a female who was travelling alone and i felt comfortable and safe at this hostel. the ambience and environment were friendly and it was really easy to meet other people which was important to me. the facilities are basic but satisfactory and pretty clean. people complain about the trek up a hill to get there which is a... more

The staff at Vieux Lyon Youth hostel were rude and patronising, one day they sung a song during breakfast about guests coming to breakfast after the (very early) 9am cut off point late and how annoying guests were when they got up late.
