We asked for a room close to reception & despite the fact that the hotel wasn't particularly busy were given a room in a different building. Luggage had to be carried through a garden, up two narrow, dark spiral staircases, & THROUGH THE RESTAURANT. Receptionist was very unhelpful, refusing to make a phone call regarding our forward booking in the... More

The location is OK, but the hotel itself is not very nice and the rooms are small, hot and not especially comfortable, but maybe you get what you pay for..... The breakfast is not included in the price and it costs 14 euro, which is very expensive for what you get. More

Restaurant refused payment with credit card, after overcharging for desert. Telephone in room did not work as plug connector broken. Room air conditioning would not reduce air temperature even when set to lowest setting. Room very uncomfortable at night for sleeping. Room lighting imadequate, electrical connection cut!. Showerhead broken, would not remain at height set during shower. More

Centrally located hotel with kind staff. That being said, I would never stay here again. The rooms were tiny (even by French standards), the elevator was the size of a coat closet and the place was in desparate need of repairs. The bath tub was scratched, the toilet ran continually and the fan was noisy. I was surprised that a... More

We hoped for Best Western standards here, and instead found the worst value of the trip. The air conditioner reeked of urine, so we turned it off and opened the window. They repeatedly rolled a cart of laundery back and forth over a wooden boardwalk just outside our window at 3 AM Breakfast was a second treat. $42 for two,... More

Good points about this hotel: - reasonably priced for the area and location, which is very well-located for the station and getting to the bridges spanning the different elements of the city. - relatively quiet (see below for caveats) - comfortable bed - some friendly and helpful staff - free wireless internet Bad points about this hotel: - despite being... Staying here was a mistake. We took the TGV from Paris to meet a family member who was driving into Lyon the next morning to pick us up and take us to Provence. Arrived late on a hot evening and the hotel air conditioning was broken. We pre-paid thru Orbitz and the hotel refused to negotiate. Did not relocate because... More

Supposedly a decent hotel in a fairly expensive town, this place certainly doesn't live up to expectations. In a strange residential district near the finance centre, admittedly near the Gare Part-Dieu, which is a well-connected station. The bad: it's 30•C+ and the air conditioning was announced as broken after I paid for the first night. My surprise was met with... More

Staff were friendly, rooms were clean, location was pretty good. Admitedly I got a good deal through 'Flybe.com' but I would have to say it was excellent value. Breakfast was continental (Bread, Cheese, Jam etc) My only critisism would be the shower was not fixed to the wall. I would definatly recomend this hotel if you can get a good... More

I spent three nights in this Hotel on May this year. Frankly, I have nothing bad to say - the rooms were spacious (relativaly speaking - in French standarts), breakfest was very good, free wireless internet around the entire hotel, very good service from the receptionists (ordered me taxies, orderd me a seat at reasaurants, and generaly were always willing...
