From an ancient cloister, this hotel has large rooms by french standards, and it has been recently completely renovated. Everything is cleaned, and the location is awesome: you can visit the center (presqu'Ile) or go uphill to Croisxousse or go over the river and visit the Old Lyon. You even have a small swimming pool, in an ancient cave, very... More

We stayed in ths hotel six weeks ago and we were very impressed with the friendly service and the room was excellent with a very large bathroom. THe hotel is only a stones throw away from what I consider to be one of the best restaurants in Lyon. "Leon de Lyon" The buffet breakfast was excellent and all in all... More

Sadly our stay in Lyon was just overnight - we'd been motoring from London and this was as far as we got en route to Provence. This little hotel is in an excellent location and has clearly been exceedingly well maintained as it was sparkling throughout. The decor was tasteful but I would not have liked to spend longer than... More

Very pleasant stay in Grand Hotel des Terreaux. It had everything we require in our acommodation, cental location, comfortable and spotless rooms, pleasant and helpful staff and a comfortable lounge where pre/post dinner drinks could be enjoyed. We didn't eat in the hotel as,with all hotel breakfasts, cheaper and more pleasant options are available on the streets so I cannot... More

We arrived early and they said our room was ready which was good. The rooms aren't that big but clean and functional. The location is the best thing here. Quite close to Old Lyon. And yeas its true! The swimming pool is in the middle of the dining room. But we used it. No-one is in the dining room in... More

We spent 1 night here after departing our UniWorld cruise. The location is very central to both the old city & the peninsula - an easy walk. Charming sidewalk cafes & shops are just minutes away. The staff was very pleasant & accomodating. The hotel is in a very old building with a great history! The breakfast buffet was very... More

My only regret about booking this hotel is that we didn't stay longer. It was a really comfortable and enjoyable stay. We had booked a superior room and were very happy with the room size and facilities. The bedroom was spacious (enormous by Paris standards) and beautifully furnished and decorated. The ensuite bathroom was also large and well equipped, including... More

This is a stylishly decorated, very nice hotel in Lyon's Presqu'Ile section. We were given a spacious room on an upper floor, and when the AC didn't function well, they immediately offered us a different, smaller room on a lower floor.Which is to say that the personnel were very responsive and helpful. Location is great for seeing many of the sights... More

We've stayed here twice now. Comfortable hotel and located within walking distance to all the main sites in lyon. The rooms are comfortable, ours was a little small but had everything we needed. We'd stay again when back in Lyon.
