The hotel is in a great location to walk across the River Saone to the old part of the city (St Paul and St Jean). We were on the 3rd floor facing a courtyard. The 1st night we had a noisy air-conditioner, complained next day and were immediately given another, and better, room. The rooms are quite spacious (for France),... More

We were on the top floor facing the street in an upgraded unit. It was spacious and very romantic! There were two huge windows that opened up into the street as well as another window in the bathroom the opened up to the courtyard. The hotel is in a superb location. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. The building... More

A lovely hotel perfectly placed in the middle of Lyon just right for a four night city break. Very friendly and efficient staff, clean rooms and a lovely breakfast. Our only regret that we didn't get the chance to use the unusual swimming pool. Certainly would stay here again especially as we heard the magic words we've upgraded you. This... More

We spent one night here in a standard room. The hotel describes the room as good for a short stay for 1 or 2 people and they are right. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom up-to-date. Room clean and good wifi. I wouldn't want to spend multiple nights in it with another person due to its size only.... More

From an ancient cloister, this hotel has large rooms by french standards, and it has been recently completely renovated. Everything is cleaned, and the location is awesome: you can visit the center (presqu'Ile) or go uphill to Croisxousse or go over the river and visit the Old Lyon. You even have a small swimming pool, in an ancient cave, very... More

We stayed in ths hotel six weeks ago and we were very impressed with the friendly service and the room was excellent with a very large bathroom. THe hotel is only a stones throw away from what I consider to be one of the best restaurants in Lyon. "Leon de Lyon" The buffet breakfast was excellent and all in all... More

Sadly our stay in Lyon was just overnight - we'd been motoring from London and this was as far as we got en route to Provence. This little hotel is in an excellent location and has clearly been exceedingly well maintained as it was sparkling throughout. The decor was tasteful but I would not have liked to spend longer than... More

Very pleasant stay in Grand Hotel des Terreaux. It had everything we require in our acommodation, cental location, comfortable and spotless rooms, pleasant and helpful staff and a comfortable lounge where pre/post dinner drinks could be enjoyed. We didn't eat in the hotel as,with all hotel breakfasts, cheaper and more pleasant options are available on the streets so I cannot... More

We arrived early and they said our room was ready which was good. The rooms aren't that big but clean and functional. The location is the best thing here. Quite close to Old Lyon. And yeas its true! The swimming pool is in the middle of the dining room. But we used it. No-one is in the dining room in... More
