This is a historic property that has been renovated into a luxurious hotel. There is a funny pool down on the first floor that we very much enjoyed swimming in, a comfy bar and coffee area out front, and evidently a breakfast spread too— but we never got up early enough for that. The beds were soooo comfy we slept... More

We arrived to find we were upgraded to a beautiful roomie room. I have no idea what the regular rooms look like but one quick peak showed a smaller room than ours. First the staff is sweet, knowledgable and very helpful. Adrea (hope I spelled this correctly) and her colleague (great young gentleman) greeted us sweetly and with excitement. They... More

Lovely central clean hotel...with beautiful decoration.Breakfast good .Staff very friendly and happy to please. In very hot Lyon so glad of the air conditioning as rooms at front can hear street noise. If tea&coffee had been in room would have given a five star rating.Would not hesitate to stay again.

We were in room 110, the only room with its own courtyard. Very comfortably furnished, great breakfasts and good service. No refrigerator but ice is readily available. We stayed for 2 nights in the middle of a heat wave but the air conditioning was more than adequete to cope with 35 degrees!

We are just checking out of this lovely hotel. The style is Art Deco which I love ! We stayed in 110 that has a terrace area you can sit out side. The staff are great and very helpful. We used the pool yesterday and while its small and you can't actually swim properly it was perfect to cool us... More

Hotel Grand Terreux is located in a great area of Lyon, between the two rivers. It is within easy walking distance of the old town and just around the corner from the more upscale shopping and eating district, yet far enough away from the business/commercial area which is across the Rhone. Nothing is too far to walk in this city.... More

Had a wonderful stay last October for our honeymoon. We were upgraded to a beautiful room on the top floor, just wish we got a good view. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel has lots of character and history. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and spoke very good English. It is also conveniently located. Would definitely suggest... More
