Chinese room decor, okay size of room and bathroom, located on quiet street close to old town, restaurants and shopping streets. Don't miss the museum of miniatures and movie decors. more

My room was cute, clean and the staff was great. If you want to be somewhere nice but would like to stay under $200 it is perfect. The breakfast was wonderful. Would definitely stay there again. more

Grand Hotel des Terreaux, Lyon, France Date: october 26, 2008 reviewer: Wanda Maia, Rio de janeiro, Brazil My aunt and I stayed at Grand Hotel des Terreaux for 6 days in october, 2008. We stayed at the Corbeille room, a charming, spacious, beautifully decorated room. GHT it's a very nice hotel, in a excellent and very convenient and central location... more

Booked the hotel via Federal Hotels, with a very good rate (20% off). The hotel is located downtown Lyon, very close to Place des Terreaux, in a very scenic area, and close to most landmarks. There is public parking nearby (parking in the streets is not easy). It seems the hotel was recently renovated, as the room, reception and public... more

As with the last reviewer, I too was a female traveling alone, at least for the first night. It was the beginning of almost two weeks in France, meeting with my husband the next day. I also, could barely get through the door with my suitcase, as the desk clerk just sat and watched me. Again after checking in I... more

I stayed at the hotel for one night last week. Based upon trip advisor reviews, I booked a corbeille room for 148 euros and expected a nice room. I apparently got the "single female just staying for one night" Corbeille room 106 - it was small, with tiny bathroom with no tub that overlooked the ground floor of the air... more

I don't understand why this hotel is so highly rated - positive writeup in the NY Times article about Lyon and in Trip Advisor. The location is fine, within walking distance of most of what one would like to see in Lyon, but despite paying for an upgraded room the room itself is smallish, decorated in a somewhat peculiar style,... more

My husband and I, along with his mom, stayed 3 nights at this hotel at the end of April. We had a Corbeille Room (#104) and his mom had a Balcon Room (#408). Our Corbeille Room has a large king size bed, a little sitting area, and a desk. It faces the street with 2 large windows. During our stay,... more

We spent Good Friday in Lyon and selected this hotel because of the locaion and did not regret it. There are many restaurants in the neighborhood and every meal in Lyon was worth the trip in itself. We had lunch at the Cafe Leffe near the fountain Bartholdi on the square in front of the Hotel de Ville and noticed... more

The welcome was warm. The room was recently renovated and of very high standard. Booked one night stayed four. Well positioned in central Lyon. Staff assisted us with internet, flights and other travel arrangements. I will definately go back. Only negative : PARKING, but that is a problem in all cities. If only other establishments would realise the importance of... more
