Good location, about five minutes walk to Perrache main line station and metro. Front desk staff knowledgeable and helpful and spoke good English. Room on the small side and fairly spartan but bathroom looked newly fitted, and everything worked fine. Breakfast very basic, but few other options nearby except in the station. Did the job, but unexceptional. More

I had previously booked with another hotel but my room was double booked, next door Hotel Savoie came to the rescue. Very poor room. The floor smells... I also hear everything what next door doing. During the night, hotel became like a fashion hotel that everybody start doing their business. It was horrible.. Unprepossessing front/entrance, warm reception, very reasonable room pricing for the location. If you want a lot of space to move around in, this is not for you. We stayed in a 4 bed room which was tight, but tidy. Very cheap for Lyon and decent location. Average breakfast of cold meats and cheese. Free off street parking was useful. Good value overall - less than a hostel when split between 4 people. More

A nice hotel - clean, cheap, friendly staff, good location, convenient grocery store and laundromat nearby. Good breakfast for 5 euros. A little noisy at night being near the train station, but if you tire yourself out during the day seeing the sights of Lyon, it doesn't really matter. :) More
