I don't know what we were thinking. This hotel is in the GHETTO. It reeked of cigarettes & the first thing I thought was that this is where prostitutes bring their "clients." Went upstairs. It was disgusting. My eyes burned from cigarette fumes. The bed "pillows" were more like flotation noodles & weren't even in cases. They were rolled into... More

It's an old place in not the best part of Lyon (lot of homeless people and some intimidating people hanging around). As to 20-year-old girls we heard some whispering and whistling, but we didn't felt offended. We only paid 51€ for a night in a room with 2 separate beds and even a small flatscreen tv. The room was basic... More

Everything was terrible there. Arriving early, I let my luggage and discovered that there was no surveillance. The front desk guy was busy doing something else (another business apparently) and did not even care giving the key. Room was very noisy, not well furnished. There are definitely better places in Lyon, for comparable prices.

Wifi said to be provided on internet, yet a 5 Euro charge was added, extremely noisy (TV next door hearable, even the guy chuckling over a funny), old blankets and no normal pillows. Added bonus - hookers frequent lobby. Also, the room we were given a key to had someone in it. We wondered if our room was accessible to... More

I spend a few days in this hotel while on a business trip this year. There are a few perks that are undeniable - close to the tram and the cheapest I could find in this part of town. These are the only two positives. It is in an obscure part of town, right across a car dealership that does... More

We booked to stay here in March 2009. We booked on Expedia and looked at reviews on Tripadvisor. We decided to book anyway because we thought 'oh it can't be that bad'. It was. Unfortunately my opinion of Lyon is tarnished because of our short experience there. We caught the tram from the train station to our hotel. We got... More

Nothing in this hotel could explain the 2 star rating. The room was dirty, there were no thin curtains that would allow for privacy, yet for air to come in when the windows are open. The bathroom was dirty, the caulk almost all gone, leaving moss to grow around the bathtub. The sheets were burned by cigarettes, though in the... More

I stayed here for a week with a group from Uni and although the reviews on here were mixed, I had an open mind. However, the hotel was a dump. It's located in a busy area and as other reviewers note, is like little Algeria. If you are looking for a massive choice of kebab shops on the doorstep, and... More

There is Tram in front of the hotel this is really useful. The room was clean tidy and with enough space not too small. The shower was old but works very good - very hot. We didn't try the breakfast.

Nothing much to say about this hotel. I was looking for a cheap place to get post-flight rest before heading to Paris. It fits the bill. Probably not the ideal for older travelers or single women, but for this big guy it was a good night`s rest on the cheap. The bed was okay. The bathroom didn't look all that... More
