We had a huge, quiet 2 BR suite overlooking the courtyard & loved the space. The kitchen was outfitted with dishes and cutlery but no spices, coffee, etc., so of limited use, but bright and very clean. Very spacious living/dining room, nicely decorated, with balcony & large windows. The building is "older" as seen in the flooring, and bedcoverings are... more

I stayed in La Reine Astrid on a weekend trip to Lyon in September 2009 (39 yr old Londoner who always stays in good quality, clean, friendly and modern hotels). The hotel is in a quieter neighbourhood but don't let that put you off as you are a short (15 min) walk into the bustle of the city, and only... more

The best thing about the place is that the rooms are pretty gigantic, and nothing substantial went wrong with them during my stay. Ok, one of the remotes and one of the lights didn't work, and the elevators and public spaces could use a bit of fresh paint, but this did not make a big difference. You could hear noises... more

Stayed here for two nights with my wife and two kids. Had the pleasure to enjoy the luxury of a grand suite for the price of a standard B&B. Do not forget to visit the wonderful tet d'or park close by. more

When I reserved this hotel, I didn't know I would be getting a mini-apartment! with kitchen and everything. Charge 95 euros per day ( I stayed two days) and loved it. more

We spent just one night at this hotel as we were in town to eat at Paul Bocuse's restaurant. We arrived in the late afternoon, quickly figured out the parking garage, although it's not that clear if you're just arriving (basically park in any open spot that has a little green sign by it. The man who checked us in... more

loved the bright large room and attached kitchen. Upscale location close to the park is wonderful for a morning or evening jog. local metro about 15 min walk down the street makes it great for visitors as well. Great for week end stay and exploring Lyon. more

When we arrived with our reservation, we were told that the price increased and that we had to pay the price of that day. We had to talk to the manager and spend 2 hours to convince them to honor the price on the reservation. The staff was very, very rude to us. The rooms are not four stars quality... more

La Reine Astrid is a hotel that delivers what it charges you. Great rooms, the best location in Lyon, polite staff and all facilities, including sauna, parking lot and (bad) expensive wi-fi connection. more

I was amazed by how spacious the rooms were. I was traveling alone and almost felt guilty taking up so much room. The hotel is very chic and elegant. I had a bedroom with a separate living room area, kitchen, and even a foyer. The hotel was in a very safe place and convenient to restaurants and attractions. The only... more
