The hotel is located at the foot of the hill with Notre-Dame church at one of these very tiny and narrow streets. Thus to reach it from the airport takes a bit of time if using public transport (express tram from the airport goes to Gare Port-Dieu, next bus or metro), otherwise taxi for 40 minutes and 60 EUR. The... More

We first came to the Tour Rose in October 2005 and returned this year. Our impression remains the same: super romantic, stunningly restored, perfectly placed for random strolls around the traboules, lots of yummy bouchons nearby. Truly a near-perfect place for a weekend away. WiFi is patchy (not bad, perhaps), the hotel is not easy to access by car (ditto),... More

This is certainly a quirky and beautiful hotel. The bedroom and bathroom were beautifully decorated, spacious and clean. The location is great, but extremely difficult to find being inside the pedestrianised old town. Make sure you reserve parking if coming by car and get precise directions from the hotel - the receptionist was surprised when we finally did arrive, that... More

We stayed in the hotel for a weekend getaway at a prefect sunny weekend. The location of the hotel is directly in the middle of the vieux Lyon. It's tricky to drive there with your car, as you drive on the small narrow walking streets. The hotel offers parking which is strange because your car goes into a big elevator... More

Rooms do not have numbers… they have names. Just as well, as each is different and unique in its character. I was graciously… assigned the top floor suite. Marble bathroom, wet bar and tastefully appointed cozy seating and sleeping area. (That made it up for the empty fridge… ☺) My business partner (with whom I was attending a work event... More

Hotel is right in the center of the old town, in the pedestrian area. Rooms comfortable, well decorated and service is efficient. No frills but everything works and is clean. Rates are very reasonable for Lyon.

THis quirky, romantic and medival hotel is a gem to behold and stay. Your eye gets little rest there is so much to look at and explore. Everywhere! Our room was Brochier Soirees- and quite lavish and comfortable. Yes the bathroom was tres francais ( EURO) and smallish but still well appointed. Ther service was fantastic and knowledgeable . We... I stayed here with 2 of my girlfriends in October 2011. Our room was almost like a museum! There were many different painings, photos, artifacts, sculptures throughout the room - it was very unique! We met the owner and bought many of his photographs as souveniers. I think this hotel was perfect for our trip. It was very centrally located... More

We have stayed 3 nights in La Tour Rose and would've stayed more! Lot of positive throughout the stay, restaurant is excellent as well. 1 blip though: on the Friday night when we arrived there was a private party in bar downstairs and the music blared on well after the midnight. We loved the suite with the living room and... More

I used to live in Lyon and have always wanted to stay in La Tour Rose. In short, overpriced, disappointing and in need of a renovation, especially the bathroom. Maybe the suites are better but the standard rooms a let down.
