The best thing of this hotel is its location: near metro, near attractions, you can go pretty much everywhere walking. The river is about 5 min walk, and another 5 min you cross the bridge and you're by the funicular station (cable car that takes you up the mountain). Hotel close to main shopping area of Lyon so if you're... More

We decided to stay here on a drive from Zermatt back to Spain. We found it through the Chateaux & Hotels guide. The hotel has a good location, and close to an underground public parking lot, but as many of the reviews say, the rooms weren't as wonderful as we thought they would be. It is a beautiful old building,... More

We assumed we would love this hotel, it had come well recommended. But from the time we arrived late on a Sunday afternoon, our impressions were primarily negative. There was only one person at the desk who did nothing to welcome us. She handed us our key and pointed to the elevator. We asked some questions about breakfast but she... More

The location is excellent, just off Place Bellecour and five minutes' walk from the metro station. For directions to the hotel from the station, check out Kindred Spirits' review of October 2014. I wish I had done so before I travelled. As to the hotel itself, many of the reviews here have got it right. The reception staff were friendly... More

The hotel is very well located in Lyon. Depending on room assigned at reception, the room could be very well decorated and very cosy or just acceptable. Breakfast was nice enough with fresh fruits and pastries.

Stayed in the hotel for business. Met by a very corteous receptionist. A good start! Less enjoyable was the size of the only elevator in the building. I could barely fit my luggage and myself. The surprise was even bigger when I entered my room. It was hard to enter! Reason being that I could barely open the door without... More

Hotel well situated near Place Bellecour, and a very beautifull entrance, but unfortunately inside very small, basic rooms. Small bathroom with an open shower, so you 1,5sqm bathroom is soaking wet after a careful attempt to shower... when opening your cupboard, door to bathroom couldn't be opened, bed very basic and more moteish comfort... Staff friendly, breakfast ok, but again,... More

We booked a superior category room at a rather expensive rate from a website; the room was wide, but bathroom was certainly not in that category; also, the bed was definitely too small (130 cm wide); when we claimed a different room, they offered a smoke-smelling one! Good by.

Hotel was in a great location. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Petite breakfast was great. Room was ok size with spacious bathroom with tub and shower. Could use some updating of rooms, but were very comfortable.

Dear Sir, We acknowledge good receipt of your comment. My teams have been working for more than 15 years in the hotel and are very concerned with our establishment and its values. I trully apologize if my night auditor had inapropriated words. He did not mean to hurt you but just tried to have a little humour mentioning in France, in... More
