We stayed at this hotel for two nights on the drive down to Italy. The hotel is situated in the old part of Lyon, which for us was the better place to be. As noted by another traveller the final part of the drive to the hotel is challenging, but directions provided by the hotel were good (just read them... More

The whole team of Cour Des Loges thanks you for your review. We are glad you had a great time at our hotel. Though, for your next stay, please ask for a regular room if it's more convenient for you. If you liked the breakfast then you should try our brunch which is known as the best in Lyon. Have... More

Four day break with husband - he was attending a conference - I was having a much needed break. The hotel is a delight - quirky, stylish and spotlessly clean. We had a room on the fourth floor and were pleasantly surprised at its good size - I loved the grey sunken bath - early Bond - very decadent. The... More

Centred in the old section it was a bit of a challenge to drive too but following the instructions provided by the hotel all worked well. The concierge and staff took our car and garaged it (a bit expensive but very convenient). The dark entrance corridor to the hotel sets the scene for the excellent decoration inside. Very ornate and... More

Thank you for your very nice review. You should know that each of our 60 rooms has a different layout so if you you want a separate bathroom please ask for it when booking. We hope the next time you come, you will try either our "Café Epicerie" or our gastronomic restaurant "Les Loges". More

This was a splurge hotel for me, and I wasn't disappointed. Incredibly friendly and helpful concierge-- we just asked for a map, but got detailed instruction about how to go to the museums we were attending, and info about what was going on in the city. I appreciated the bathroom amenities: robe, slippers, generously large towels, shampoos, etc. Son liked... More

Thank you for your review. We are glad the concierge instructions were beyond your expectations and we hope the hotel and the old town pleased you so you will want to come back. Please, during your next stay, feel free to ask for an extra light. More

The most perfect place to stay in the heart of old Lyon. Not your glitzy modern Las Vegas hotel, but a medieval residence so very well renovated. All of the staff are totally professional and always helpful and pleasant, especially the concierge (love Antoine) who are truly world class. There were clearly some wealthy clientele staying here and we were... More

Thank you for your very nice review. American clients are always impressed by the design of the hotel and its architecture and we are glad you are in accordance with them though French people love Vegas hotels! We hope you will fly back from California soon to enjoy our gastronomic restaurant and have as many Nespresso coffees as you want. More

We have never stayed in a hotel like this! The building, decor, lighting and facilities are different...in a good way. The rooms are quirky, dimly lit but the general ambience is almost an art work. Hard to describe adequately unless you stay there, then you know what I mean. Maybe it's a trip back to the past with a comfortable... More

We stayed at the Cour des Loges for three evening the first part of May. This place is truly amazing. The staff is exceptional. The location perfect. But don't believe they are a 5 star property. First I will say that this was the most expensive per night hotel in which we stayed. We traveled for a month throughout Europe... More

We thank you very much for your review. As you said the hotel is from the Renaissance and is listed historical monument by UNESCO. We do understand that there are some disadvantages for the hotel to be located in the middle of the old town, close to others buildings but unfortunately that is the price to pay to live a... More

Let's start with the good. Perfect location. Friendly and helpful staff. Brasserie was excellent. Concierge extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Now the bad. The hotel is put together from several Rennaisance era buildings. There are staircases and hallways and passageways. Be forewarned that the accommodations can be quirky and you should call ahead to discuss with management before your arrival. We... More

We read your review carefully and we took good note of what you mentioned. As you said, the hotel is from the 14th century and used to be four different buildings that were gathered by narrow hallways which are called "trabouls", very famous in Lyon and charming but not easy to access. So I totally understand your point and I... More

Cour Des Loges is a unique small luxury property. The hotel is in an old building that was formerly used by Lyon merchants. The rooms are set up as lofts with beds on top of the loft and sitting area on bottom. Our room was a little cramped and dark. However, the rest of the hotel is beautiful. Wonderful, friendly... My wife and I loved the hotel. Excellent breakfast buffet, fabulous concierge, great location surrounded by great restaurants, cafes, easy walk across the river to an interesting part of the city. . . Be sure to pay very close detail to the directions the hotel will e-mail you upon booking your reservation. Also, book a room with only one story.... More

We thank you for your review and we are glad you liked the hotel and the service. Indeed we have 60 rooms and each one has its own design and among them, there are "mezzanines" which implies two floors. Some clients only book mezzanines for their singularity and space but if you prefer a regular suite, please feel free to... More
