Hotel Boulevardier Location - Good central location between the saone and rhone rivers to explore Lyon by foot. Cheap taxi ride to and from Gare Part Dieu station. About 45 minutes and 60 euros by taxi to the airport. Hotel & Room - Quirky old style building atop a pretty cool little bar (also where breakfast, good value at 6... More

We booked it after reading TA reviews. We weren't disappointed. This hotel has a great history and has original wooden beams (in bar) with extraordinary high celings. Cedric, owner is a keen collector of vintage pieces, as you will see in the cafe/reception. You can drink your coffee sitting on a ski seat from the 70s! How cool is that?... More

We stayed in this hotel in July 2013 booking a room via the Internet exchanging a few emails with Cedric. When we arrived we received a friendly welcome but were disappointed that Cedric was not there, on holiday, however the plus point was that we were offered a parking space right outside the hotel. We had worked out that parking... More

This hotel is in one of the easiest to find locations I've ever stayed in in a major city, look for the biggest church spire from any part of the city centre and you've found it. That in itself would be enough to recommend this lovely, quirky hotel. The building is very old but is still comfortable and the bed... More

I stayed in this hotel in February 2013. Had a room for 3 adults (one double and one single bed) on the first floor. Location is excellent and owner Cedric is a gentleman. Room and shower are top class & great value given the low cost per room. Will stay there again, which says it all in my book. Thanks... More

Excellent location right in the centre of town and walking distance to everything. Very cheap, but the rooms were still clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Cedric and the other staff were friendly and helpful. I stayed in a room on the first floor that had a very nice view onto the old cathedral next door. The first 2 nights... More

For some, location is everything; for others, affordability is crucial. This hotel serves both these requirements admirably. For us, though, it is the kindness, the hospitality of the staff that is formost, and Cederic surpassed our hopes. The directions and suggestions he proposed were flawless. When we asked about internet cafes, he offered the use of his own laptop. When... More

It's not the Hilton but the rooms are clean and the owner is a friendly helpful person. The rooms can be a bit hit and miss. On our first stay, we had an older room that unfortunately had been smoked in. It wasn't enough to deter us from coming back a second time a few weeks later on our way... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Boulevardier. All of Lyon is reachable by foot from the hotel, with the Hotel de Ville and Musée des Beaux Arts particularly close. There are nice restaurants and bars in the surrounding streets too. The hotel itself is also a jazz bar/restaurant which looked great but was unfortunately closed while we were there.... More
