We also had no problems staying in this hotel. We were staying here as part of a month long bike trip round Europe so were being careful with the costs of hotels - but we definitely weren't just 'grateful for the hot shower' as a previous reviewer put it. Reception was fine, and they found a space for our bikes... more

I saw the first two reviews, and decided I just had to write mine! Our four day stay at the Hotel de l´Europe was fabulous: spacious room with full bathroom, large bed, balcony overlooking the Place Grenette. Friendly people at the reception - leaving or picking up the key never took more than just seconds (...), free use of the... more

We stayed here for one night because I had a meeting at the university the next day. We had no choice when it came to the hotel - this is where the university puts you when it's paying the bill. The hotel has rooms with and without ensuite facilities. Ours had a toilet and shower, but I almost wished that... more

Conveniently located beside one of the city's silent, electric trolley lines, Hotel de l'Europe had a nice lobby with a large flat screen TV and breakfast available for a price (which we did not try). The trolley runs from the train station, or the distance is walkable in 15 to 20 min on city sidewalks. Our room, with a shower... more
