Often I have to go to Grenoble for a business trip and everytime I go to this hotel. The staff is very friendly and at least they try to speak English. The hotel is on a nice square close to the old centre of the city and close to the old castle and Isere river. Hotel itself is nice and... More

We stopped at Hotel d'Angleterre on our way from Grenoble to Chamrousse (after missing the last transfer) & was here for literally 8 hours to get some much needed sleep. If travelling from the airport you will need to get a bus into the centre. This is a small hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the main bus &... More

We really enjoyed our room which was situated at the top floor, we had a window which could be opened towards the square outside and it provided a magnificent view. It was fresh and comfortable beds. Everything felt clean and we also had a bath tub which felt really nice after a lot of sightseeing. The breakfast was expensive but... More

I stayed here when working in Grenoble for a week and was a little disappointed. The room was VERY small with a tiny bathroom behind a sliding door and I really struggled to keep the temperature down during the hot summer weather as there was no air conditioning. I ended up having to leave the door to the small balcony... More

I was on business trip to France and Amsterdam. And this hotel provided me the best service in many aspects such as location, excellent customer service and it overlooks a beautiful park. Not forget a very spacious room! I will definitely come back and hopefully Philippe was an amazing staff!

the service from the hotel is fantastic. good location (about 15min walk to the train station, and is close to the shops and restaurant in the town) with nice view (gotten a room that faced the park with the mountain). the bath tub is a bit old, but still acceptable. breakfast can do without... same food with little variety..... overall... My first impression upon arrival was disappointment. But after staying the first night I changed my mind. The entrance and lobby do not match the outside, which is a lovely early 1900's building on a large square. The decor looked like 1970's or 80's "modern", and not a stylish version. The room was a nice size and clean, although the... More

This hotel is really well run, I really enjoyed the experience overall. My main critique is the dated look of the room and furniture. There was several spots where the room has been damaged by years of use. It just needs a little more upkeep and some new furniture. Otherwise, I am very impressed with the location and view from... We got a cracking On-Line Deal for this hotel and like so often, made the decision not have breakfast (Who eats Breakfast at home?) - This made the Hotel exceptional vale and forced us to get up and out the door, exploring the very lovely town. Staff were friendly enough, no issues and the room was very comfortable. There was... More
