We had neither breakfast nor dinner there so I can;t comment on the food. First impressions were good.Check in was trouble free and efficient and a lovely waitress brought us a beer as we sat in the sunshine enjoying the lake. With the beer came a plate of bizzarrely coloured (pastels) sweets. Not really appropriate with a beer and slightly... More

I booked a room less than a week ago and during my reservation I asked if it was possible to get some concert tickets because I couldn't find them online. Sébastien offered me right away to go himself and buy it for me. That was the first good point. Than I was able to take my dog with me (Just... More

Just back from 5 days in Evian, at Hotel Les Cygnes. A very good experience, the management and staff (well most of them!) are very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is great, be it for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Conveniently located, the hôtel is at walking distance from Evian city center. The busy road in front of the entrance can... More

I just came back from that hotel, it's a terrible interior design and decoration! Staff was very unfriendly, rude. Especially in restaurant Les Cygnes, the waiter was completely nuts, when I ordered lactose free food, he brought me dish fool of cream with creamy souse, when I mentioned that there is a cream in the food, he answered: There is... The hotel was very charming with a lot of decorations and it will be perfect for a couple getaway or maybe honeymoon. It was located by the lake, so if you get a lake view room, you can see the magnificent Léman/Geneva Lake. The price was average. The room was small but very charming. It was clean despite numerous decorations.... More

The hotel is stately and the bear collection might remind you of staying with someone's great aunt. It's charming! The rooms are small, even by European standards, but that's alright because there's so much to do outside of your room. Dinner on the patio by the lake on a warm summer evening was both casual (the labs and other patron's... More

We stayed there for 2 nights in October 2013 and our stay was really lovely. The hotel is small, charming and full of character. The bedrooms are comfortable and cosy. The staff (including the two labradors!) were nothing but friendly and helpful. The view was superb. The decor and atmosphere of the hotel was so much more charming than any... More

Many reviews relate mainly to the hotel, but actually this is such a highly regarded restaurant that the hotel side of the business can stay open all year. We booked a week for the location (quiet) and the food (excellent), but even then the small, cluttered room - when did you last see a TV on top of the wardrobe?... More

This place would make a fine episode of one those 'nightmare' documentaries about a business that has taken the wrong turn. First off, the decor. Every conceivable space in the entire hotel is stuffed full of old bric-a-brac. Teddy bears in chairs, tables with tea services, old postcards, lifebouys, tiny lamps, just stuff everywhere. They must have enough furniture to... More

My wife and I enjoyed a 10 night holiday in Evian and stayed at Les Cygnes hotel, We had a lake view superior room but it was difficult to see the view because the "french doors" onto the miniscule balcony were heavily covered in drapes and net curtains. The room was small and massively over furnished with cushions and small... More
