For a chalet/hotel where I had read some not so good reports, I was not expecting too much but having just returned yesterday, we can only say that from the moment we arrived until we left, service by the friendly staff & manager was excellent. Food: breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner perfect. Ski guides also friendly and excellent. Great position... more

Mathew, Kat, Nick and the rest of the staff of the Hotel Chanrossa in Courchevel 1550 made our stay most memorable. Even though it was the last week of the season, and they were operating the facility on a reduced staff, the Chanrossa crew were nothing short of excellent! Particularly the facility manager Mathew. His constant attention to our needs... more

Our first impression on arrival at the Hotel Chanrossa was the very welcoming and helpful staff. The hotal had a relaxed atmosphere with a log fire. Mealtimes were enjoyable and the food was of a good standard and plentiful. Staff were very friendly and attentive and always ready to give advice. The organisation of the lift pass and ski hire... more

We have just returned from a week at the Chanrossa. Our flight from Bristol did not arrive until late evening but it was no trouble for the staff to put a hot meal back for us. We found Matt , the Manager, and the staff team to be friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic but comfortable with copious quanties... more

This was our second visit to Chanrossa Hotel and we will never go back again. I don't think the sheets had been cleaned from the previous year - probably why they use brown sheets so it doesn't show up. Chef from 2008 has obviously moved on, as desserts would mainly consist of crushed biscuit and squirty cream and fruit, only... more

Having just returned from the Chanrossa in late February, I honestly cannot understand some of the reviews saying that this hotel was clean and well run. The hotel was very understaffed, with the manager Matt seemingly trying to fill about 4 positions(Bar man, receptionist, waiter..). I must agree with the previous reviewer who said that Matt worked very hard, ,... more

Six of us stayed at the Chanrossa in late Feb and found it to be a pleasant little hotel. The hotel is well situated, with the bubble to 1850 just around the corner (about a two minute walk with ski boots on). Coincidentally with the previous reviewer, we stayed in room 25, which was comfortable and spotlessly clean. There is... more

I spent a week in the Chanrossa in 1550. I cant understand previous comments regarding the staff, they were unbeliveably helpful. I have stayed in many places having skiied for over twenty years and The Chanrossa had a fantastic feel the moment i walked in. A a solo traveller i felt completeley at ease. The rooms were basic however very... more

Ski Power review all feedback that we receive and that includes feedback from sites such as Trip Adviser. As Managing Director of the company I wanted to leave some feedback about the two negative comments that are on this site with an honest and accurate opinion on the points raised therein. Firstly both comments are taken seriously and to this... more

The Hotel is a pretty good facility, nice location, spacious. However, the business is clearly having problems and I think laid off about 7 staff in the week we were there. The hotel manager is the very definition of "surly", with absolutely no inclination to do anything other than update his Facebook account or get completely ratted with his snowboarding... more
