Ok, it was a last minute booking but not that cheap. Room basic but clean did he job. Sadly the dining room was so noisy that conversation is almost impossible the wine was genuinely undrinkable. I have done loads of chalet hols but this time the wine became a prob. Have a glass at lunch time today and was bliss... More

Just back from a superb week at Les Avals. No complaints whatsoever. Great service and the food was excellent. Very efficient and friendly staff who even took our bags to our room on arrival. We were on the top floor to the front and as regards noise,it snowed one night and early morning the snowploughs were at work ensuring roads/pavements... More

We got a last minute, half price deal which made our week excellent value. The room we had was above the bar. If you get the chance, request one at the back of the the chalet, its quieter. There is the added noise of the snow ploughs and buses from 5 am. Ear plugs are a must unless you are... More

Les Avals We booked with Ski Olympic via Skiiline and were a party of eight family members, 7- 69 years, plus three friends and chose Courchevel 1650 (renamed Moriond) as we knew from past experience that there was good skiing here for all of us. The ancients enjoyed peaceful local runs, the experts had plenty of more far-flung and challenging... More

The accommodation is very basic and tired looking - but acceptable enough for a skiing holiday where you generally spend little time in the room. Staff friendly and welcoming - service very informal rather than professional. Food was a reasonable standard although no choice of main meal. Excellent location just across the road from the main ski lift.
