My partner and I stayed at the l'Arveyron for one night last week. It was perfect for just the night and the price was brilliant. The lady who owns it, or seemed to be the manager was very nice, and spoke very good English which helped with getting information for the town and things to do. The hotel is about... More

We stayed here for 2 nights with friends during a ski holiday recently. We hadn't realised that the walk into Chamonix would be so difficult. There is no footpath for a lot of the way and the lighting on the road can be poor. To travel to chamonix, you would need to get the bus realistically which is free with... More

We stayed for a week's skiing holiday. We booked everything independently and saved a fortune on a package holiday. The hotel is a 20 minute walk into the town centre or 10 mins the other way to Le Praz village. It is on the bus route to all the ski resorts and the bus is free with your ski pass,... More

We stayed for a week on our annual ski trip and we thoroughly enjoyed hotel arveyron. We were travelling with a five month old baby and there wasn't enough the hotel staff could do for us. The cot was very comfortable and a good weeks sleep was had with the baby. Chamonix is a 20 minute walk along the quiet... More

Small *** hotel well located few kilometers outside Chamonix close to a nice forest in a very quiet area. Despite the small size rooms (actually a bit tired), thanks to the careful service, the Hotel is recommendable for a ski week end in the beautiful Chamonix area.

What a little gem this was. Historic also as it has been in operation as a tea rooms since the last century. It is not smack in the middle of town but a nice healthy walk of 15 -20 mins on a main road with a footpath most of the way or you can go through the forest trail or... More

Clean, quiet, comfortable, good value family run hotel. Stayed here for a weekend in February 2013 and found the hotel very agreeable. The room was clean, comfortable and in good condition with WIFI access and TV.The breakfast for €10.50 included fresh fruit, cheese, ham , a selection of breads and pastries , yoghurts and eggs and the dinner was good value at... Situated on the edge of the forest, beside the river, right on the cross-country ski path, it is a perfect place if you want to avoid the noisy town centre. The rooms are not luxurious but clean and cosy, the ski bus-stop is virtually on your doorstep and a walk to the centre takes no more than 20 minutes. The... More

We dropped into Chamonix en route home from a Ski/snowboard trip in the Tarentaise valley (Sainte Foy) with the intention of doing a bit of equipment shopping, arriving mid afternoon on a Fri afternoon in March was a gamble and on this occasion it paid off ! there wasn't anything available in town so we asked for help from the... Been there in March, 2012. Overall, the stay was satisfying, with no dramatic complains. Location is OK; peaceful and sunny, right on the cross-country ski/pedestrian path. It’s half-hour easy walk to Chamonix center (15 min walk to Les Praz skilift). There is a local railway next to hotel. Although trains are rare, but if your room face the railway, it... More
