Over a 10 year period I have stayed at the Aveyron appox 8 times, some with family and others with a group of pals. This is my first review (shamefully), but this year has been just as good if not better than the previous stays. Sandrine and her staff are exceptionally good hosts, the rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast... More

I have stayed at this hotel 4/5 times (can't recall exactly) now and this is my first review. Each visit has been at the end of January for skiing. It is located just down the valley from Les Praz but is too far to walk at night for a visit to Les Praz on foot. We always have a hire... More

Wide back yard, comfortable parking, relaxed atmosphere 2 km from Chamonix - there is a bus stop just outside the hotel. The staff was welcoming. Two remarks that have: 1- the towel and soap could be better. 2- the Wi-Fi is disconnecting every 15 minutes. some work can be done on this feature.

Thank you for your comment. There is now a soap dispenser on the wall of each shower or bath room. We wifi has been improved but because we are in Chamonix and not in big tows the debit is always a bit low.Sorry for that. We are in such a beautiful place that you only can enjoy it. More

I have stayed at Hotel L’Arveyron on two occasions, one winter, one summer. Having visited Chamonix many times, I think this hotel is arguably in the best location in Chamonix Valley if you want a quiet hotel close to nature. It is outside Chamonix town just before entering the village of Les Praz. If you don’t have a car then... More

This is a budget hotel a couple of km out of Chamonix, but has a nice feel away from the bustle of the town centre. The view from our room of Aguille du Midi was spectacular; the staff friendly; and the setting by the river and amongst the trees make a nice change. Easy parking and only 3-4 mins back... More

Great views, nice staff, had canard and fish and salads and deserts.. Very nice dishes. Lodgers of hotel had a buffet in the terrace. The train passes right behind the hotel so I wouldn't sleep there.

Thank you for your comment. There is only one train per hour from 6 h 45 am to 8.00 pm so they are not running during the night, the rooms have also double glass Windows, reducing the noice at nothing. More

We stayed four nights in January and had a great time. The hotel is set back from the road within the trees with stunning views of the mountains. Plenty of fee parking. It's located next to a cross country skiing circuit. The downstairs reception, lounge, dining, billiards were spotless with a newly refurbished look. There's also a heated ski and... More

My partner and I stayed at the l'Arveyron for one night last week. It was perfect for just the night and the price was brilliant. The lady who owns it, or seemed to be the manager was very nice, and spoke very good English which helped with getting information for the town and things to do. The hotel is about... More

We stayed here for 2 nights with friends during a ski holiday recently. We hadn't realised that the walk into Chamonix would be so difficult. There is no footpath for a lot of the way and the lighting on the road can be poor. To travel to chamonix, you would need to get the bus realistically which is free with... More

We stayed for a week's skiing holiday. We booked everything independently and saved a fortune on a package holiday. The hotel is a 20 minute walk into the town centre or 10 mins the other way to Le Praz village. It is on the bus route to all the ski resorts and the bus is free with your ski pass,... More
