This is probably the hardest review that I have had to write. Chalet Phillipe is not a conventional skiing retreat and will not be for everyone. It is beautiful as a hamlet of 500 year old cottages that ooze character. The location is delightful and with good snow allows a ski to the door experience. My first impressions were mixed,... More

These chalets are truly a work of art and a labor of love. Philippe hand designs all of his chalets and each one is unique. I have never been anywhere in my life where so many details were considered. Not only do you have all the amenities of a five star hotel, you have beautiful antiques and hand crafted details... We were told how great this restaurant was and had to try it. Wonderful food. Adequate (not big, not small portions) of haute cuisine. We had to ask for our wine as did another couple at the communal table where you are seated with the other guests of the evening. The service was not very attentive. We were told the... More

We arrived road weary and needing rest. What a fantastic place to do so. Though the weather was cold and damp in mid-May, the staff made sure our needs were taken care of. Dinner was an exquisite experience...we were the only guests that first day and we felt well taken care of. Delectable food carefully prepared and beautifully presented. Worth... More

This was my 4th time in Chamonix and probably the best hotel experience I've had there so far. My wife and I stayed in one of their beautiful luxury chalets and it was a unique experience. Everything was clean and spotless. We had our own private hot tub. The food at the hotel was great and staff was pleasant and... More

This is a lovely development using re-sited old Mazots to form small chalets. Placed in Le Levancher and therefore in the middle of nowhere but with a great view. The place is absolutely charming, the staff are most helpful and the ambience delightful. The downside is that the prices are simply ridiculous. To the extent that I thought the accommodation... Loved everything….. Amazing location close enough to Chamonix and to the slopes but quiet and away from downtown. Staff were exceptional catering to my every need, I stayed in the chalet "Les Clarines" is was beautiful. Towels soft and cozy, bed very comfortable and lined with flannel sheets in winter. Delicious breakfast just what you want to eat when you... More

The dining room is inside an authentic Chalet set on a ridge overlooking the valley. Several course later and some fantastic wine was followed by a cheese course I will remember for a lifetime. The owner noticed I was alone and joined me for dinner. Experience of a lifetime and well worth the journey.

Had a fabulous time staying in Les Clarins, a gorgeous little chalet with private hot tub. The food in the restaurant was out of this world and the staff were really attentive and friendly. We will definitely return!

Just got back from one of my best mountain week ends, thanks to this amazing place!!! For those looking for peace, nature and real personalized services, Chalets de Philippe is the place for you! It perfectly combines the beauty of traditional mountain chalets together with luxury services, though in a warm and family-like atmosphere, very unusual in popular mountain places... More
