We visited this Chalet whist on a motoring holiday and found it so good we altered our itinary so that we could stay an extra night. Chalet Wildfire is within easy reach of Chamonix town and its amenities though once you have sampled the facilities and hospitality of the owners I doubt if you will want to go out much.... More

We went with my husband for a running competition and we stayed here for 3 days. We had a room facing the Mount Blanc. The owners were really nice and welcoming and the food couldn't be better because it was the best. The place is located not in center town but just a few kilometers, we had a car but... More

We stayed for sixteen days in August at the Chalet with my 8 month pregnant wife and in-laws and our aim was, for once, relaxation and clean mountain air rather than our usual energetic, explorative holiday (for obvious reasons). Some of us have visited the area many times and have found Chamonix to be a touch pretentious and over-priced at... More

For our first ski holiday in Chamonix, we checked around with a few colleagues to see if anyone had skied there. One of them suggested we take a look at Chalet Wildfire, where he’d stayed a couple of seasons ago. We normally stay in hotels, but wanted a change and this sounded like something we should try. We arrived quite... More

Well, after some thought, we have decided to go back to Chalet Wildfire. We were there a couple of summers ago and it suited us fine. We preferred not to be in the centre of Chamonix, as it can be a bit too lively at times. The location is really beautiful and quite tranquil. Just standing on the balcony and... More

We decided to have a holiday in the mountains rather than our normal beach holiday and found this gem - an authentic chalet typical of the area. It says on the information that it has incredible views. Well, nothing prepared us for how magnificent they truly are. I think awesome is the most appropriate one. The chalet itself is a... More

Having just returned from a fabulous week in Chamonix I want to to say what a great time we had. The snow conditions were near perfect and the extensive ski area meant we were skiing in new locations each day. The runs in the sun at Brevent/Flegere were my particular favourites. The Chalet hosts Ian and Li Li couldn't do... More

The Chalet Wildfire website details the chalet as being situated on the western edge of Chamonix, au contraire: Chalet Wildfire is situated in Les Bossons a village over 3 km away from Chamonix. Once we arrived we realised exactly why you would need a courtesy transfer into the town although I was surprised to hear that the courtesy transfer ran... More

Morning All, My advice is to stay somewhere else where you will get value for money and the standard you thought you paid for. We visited Wildfire chalet at Easter, paid a Load of money expecting - as quoted in their adverts a 'fabulous chalet' one of 'the finest in Chamonix', We paid the money because we wanted an extra...
