Good hotel in a brilliant location. Hotel two minutes walk from Aiguille du Midi cable car station and 5 minutes from the centre of Chamonix. Views from residence of peaks and Bossons glacier spectacular. Parking initially difficult but you will find a free (i.e. gratis) space and once you have, don't move the car, You don't need to. You can... More

We booked the self-catering room for 9 nights for our skiing holidays in Chamonix. First when we walked in, we were surprised the room was advertised for 5 people! there were two of us and the space was very limited, can't imagine squeezing 5 people there. I'd agree with the previous comments, the rules sound awkward, since you are paying... More

Excellent location, great infrastructure, practically in city center. Accommodation is not expensive. Ski lift availability only by bus. Good thing is that bus station with all lines are across the street. There is no enough space in ski room, specially for five people. There is not boots drying in ski room.

The Le Chamois Blanc was such a disappointment and rip off for the €550 per week. The desk staff told me the room was ready and on arrival I discovered there were no sheets on the bed, no towels and the "house rules" for departure on the back of the door stated that you had to clean the apartment yourself,... Dear Taz084, We are sorry to notice that there were apparently incomprehensions concerning your stay in our Maeva residence. Being a residence with self catered apartments, our services are different from those of a hotel. Furthermore, on our Maeva website the inclusive or "à la carte" services are clearly specified. Only sheets are included in the rent of the apartments.... More

Although advertised as apartments for 4, this so clearly not unless you are looking for cheap accommodation. apartments were clean and warm and the location is just opposite the main bus station which is a huge plus, it is also relatively close to the city center so great for going out. The size and the quality of the apartment leaves... More

Positives: The apartment we stayed at was clean, warm and in a very convenient location across the road from a bus stop taking people to all possible ski lift destinations. The kitchenette was well equipped for domestic use, however all the essentials had to be bought from scratch starting from paper towels, salt/peppers / dish washing liquid, soap and toilet... More

Check in was terrible as reception only opened at 5pm so all travelers checking in that day were waiting at the same time. Process was incredibly slow. He car park we had pre booked was 'unavailable' and we had to find our own parking in the street and walk back to the hotel. The sofa bed we had requested was... More

It felt like being in Prison. They give you a long list of things that you need to do on checking out including cleaning and hoovering your room and bathroom, putting the bedding away, taking the dirty sheets to reception etc. Outrageous. If I new that I would not have paid the €500 for the week. It was only worth... More

Having wanted to go on a snowboard trip for over 10 years I finally decided to do it, left my friend to book it for us all and, after harbouring thoughts of staying in a cosy little cabin in the middle of a French winter wonderland, I was surprised when we were dropped off outside the Residence Maeva. Even more... More
