if you are looking for chic, contemporary with a high spec finish this is not for you. I liked it for its great location, helpful and friendly staff and clean and comfortable room. Booked via booking.com at £50 for a single room. Had to pay for wifi - it was good but kept dropping which was frustrating. Room 29 -... More

Absolutely loved my time here. After a delayed flight I was late checking in, but greeted with a warm smile and quickly checked in. Traveling solo I had two single beds in my room that weren't overly comfortable, and you wouldn't want to be much taller than me (I'm 5'10) but that's about the only bad thing I have to... More

I have stayed at this hotel five times. It's main attraction is its central Chamonix location. It is at a walking distance to everything within the city as well as free public transportation to ski lifts and cable cars. Rooms are comfortable and clean. I always enjoy the tasty breakfast with the stunning view of the Mont Blanc.

I moved to Europe for work just before easter and, loving snowboard, I had to find a place to go last minute and i was lucky enough to land at the Richemond. Comments: ROOM: I was by myself and stayed at a single room. Very clean, comfy with a tv and view to the mountains (foggy mountain at that weekend).... More

Arrived at the hotel (parking is at the rear) but you can use the back door. Nice and friendly. We stayed in room 51 which was on a corner so lovely views, it had 2 single beds pushed together. Bathroom did not have a shower - but it was nice to have a bath instead! There was also a balcony.... More

There are lots of good things about staying at this hotel. 1)Parking - Lots of space and never had to worry once we parked 2)Location - Right on the main street in Chamonix, 50 meters from the Ski bus out back and 150 meters to a Ski shop that offers 20% off if staying at the Hotel. 3)View from the... Stayed at the Richemond in February 2015 with husband and 11 year old son. What a gem of a hotel. Lovely old building full of character. Yes I'm sure many people will mention the dated decor and slightly shabby appearance in some areas but so what, it's an old hotel and it more than makes up for it with its... More

Was sent here by the very helpful tourist information lady after arriving at my Chamonix apartment only to find it double booked. The hotel family owners couldn't have been more welcoming on my arrival, giving me maps and bus passes and as much information as I requested. The room, a basic single, was warm comfortable and clean. The bathroom was... More

The hotel is centrally located with ski buses at the back door and the main street at the front with it's array of restaurants, bars shops etc.The main train station is a short walk away. When I booked I was met at reception by... More
