Every time I stay here ( 6 times or so now over the past 10 years) I think it may be my last stay. Ive even taken to goping out of my way to get my kids stay here as I think it is quite unique. It is certainly not fancy - it is pretty basic - the plumbing and... More

The Richemond hotel is right in the middle of Chamonix. Shops and restaurants are in easy reach from the hotel. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but it's good value for the price. Top breakfast tip: Make sure you boil your eggs before attempting to eat them :-)

The location is great and parking is free. The front desk lady was super nice. The hotel building, while old, has a certain charm lacking in newer hotels. The hotel lobby supposedly dates back 100 years and is well maintained. The front desk person told us this was the first hotel in Chamonix The rooms are of a good size... More

First, The Great: The location and views are impossible to beat. 25 steps to the main street of Chamonix, balconies with unobstructed views of Mont Blanc or Brévent and FREE parking (a precious commodity in Chamonix). The desk staff are wonderful, friendly and incredibly helpful. Second, The Good: Solid--if unchanging--continental breakfast paired with the typical, sub-par french coffee (did the... More

if you are looking for chic, contemporary with a high spec finish this is not for you. I liked it for its great location, helpful and friendly staff and clean and comfortable room. Booked via booking.com at £50 for a single room. Had to pay for wifi - it was good but kept dropping which was frustrating. Room 29 -... More

Absolutely loved my time here. After a delayed flight I was late checking in, but greeted with a warm smile and quickly checked in. Traveling solo I had two single beds in my room that weren't overly comfortable, and you wouldn't want to be much taller than me (I'm 5'10) but that's about the only bad thing I have to... More

I have stayed at this hotel five times. It's main attraction is its central Chamonix location. It is at a walking distance to everything within the city as well as free public transportation to ski lifts and cable cars. Rooms are comfortable and clean. I always enjoy the tasty breakfast with the stunning view of the Mont Blanc.

I moved to Europe for work just before easter and, loving snowboard, I had to find a place to go last minute and i was lucky enough to land at the Richemond. Comments: ROOM: I was by myself and stayed at a single room. Very clean, comfy with a tv and view to the mountains (foggy mountain at that weekend).... More

Arrived at the hotel (parking is at the rear) but you can use the back door. Nice and friendly. We stayed in room 51 which was on a corner so lovely views, it had 2 single beds pushed together. Bathroom did not have a shower - but it was nice to have a bath instead! There was also a balcony.... More

There are lots of good things about staying at this hotel. 1)Parking - Lots of space and never had to worry once we parked 2)Location - Right on the main street in Chamonix, 50 meters from the Ski bus out back and 150 meters to a Ski shop that offers 20% off if staying at the Hotel. 3)View from the...
