Pleasant and very convenient location directly opposite the train Station. Our room had a balcony overlooking the main Street and so it was rather noisy into the fairly early hours but ear plugs assisted in the cutting down of that. The views up to the mountains were enticing and exciting and as this was the night before we began the... More

We stayed here for one night at the start of our Haute Route trek. The check in was efficient. The room was sufficient and en suite with great views of Aguilette du Midi and Mont Blanc. The loaction is great for eating and drinking and there is a supermarket just around the corner. breakfast was great with a vast choice... More

What a lovely plaice Chamonix is. Hotel located in an excellent position within the village everywhere within easy walking distance. The hotel is located just across the train station. Looking out of our Bedroom window was amazing you felt you could almost touch Mont Blanc. Gustavia is an old hotel but offers all the facilities (some basic) needed, no aircon... More

Greatly located hotel with walking distance to anywhere within Chamonix village. The hotel is located just across the train station. Gustavia is an older hotel but has its own charm and the facilities are adequate enough. Great service by the personnel. Restaurant and bar within the facilities. Wifi a bit uneven depending on where in the hotel you are located.

The stay didn't start well and didn't improve. Room door lock broken and no one to fix it. We had to move rooms and in that room the television didn't work – no maintenance person on duty so no television for the two nights stay despite 3 requests and last one being angry. The hotel has a noisy bar and... More

Firstly just to clarify we did not stay here but recently the Gustavia hosted our wedding reception after we were married at the church just opposite. I felt I needed to write this for a few reasons that hopefully are relevant to anybody looking to stay at this hotel- firstly the staff were out of this world, very helpful and... More

Correct for a two stars hotel . Not for three (2012 score) Good location, but my shower was out of order, not easy after mountain and no one to repair . Too British , and Chamonix is not in commonwealth !!

We visited Chamonix for 2 nights in July with temperatures soaring into the 30's. Room, including bathroom was comfortable, with a nice view of the mountains. The hotel however looked very tired after a busy winter and was in need of some TLC. A good budget hotel, for a day or two, but better options available with gardens and other... More

We booked 6 rooms 6 months in advance when there was plenty of availability. We arrived at the hotel and we're give a room that barely fit the two twin beds. There was no room for the luggage other than to put one suitcase on the only chair and the other suitcase on the dresser. The room over looks the... More

This hotel was chosen by UK adventure tour operator for the start and finish of our trekking trip. Location is excellent to access everything from station, the telecabin to go up to see mountains, shops to numerous restaurants. I was impressed how friendly all the staff members were. They came outside to show me which mountain is what, gave me... More
