Hotel Alpina is very centrally situated and the view of Mont Blanc from the rooms facing that way is wonderful. Try and get one of these rooms, if possible. Two doors along from hotel is a very useful Casino supermarket with an excellent bakery. We enjoyed a few snacks on the balcony admiring the view! Room decor was ok but... More

We stayed at the hotel one night in a really run down room - the cards to open the doors didn't function very well, so we had to take the lift down to the reception 3 times to get help to get into the room. The toilet didn't flush, so we had to use a bucket to flush it !... More

We stayed there after a the Mt Blanc hike as we couldn't get a room at Hotel de l'Arve (stayed before the hike) anymore. That said with old rooms, bad wifi (have to re sign up all 2h with your email...) and overpriced breakfast (16€ for small buffet vs 12€ at l'Arve with great buffet) it is only worth for... More

Having read previous reviews about incorrect billing at this hotel, I felt compelled to write about my experience. My party of 7 hired the skis through Alpina as it offered 20% off. However on being presented with the bill we were told that the 20% reduction no longer applied and we would have to pay the full amount. Despite our... More

Rather disappointing, run-down hotel... I just completed a 5 night stay at the Hotel Alpina while attending a conference in Chamonix. This hotel has a lot of significant problems The ROOMS: Severely dated. Carpets date to the 1960's and not in any charming sort of way. Significantly warn and dated. Cracks in the ceiling. I pulled door knobs off the... More

Alpina hotel is in the perfect spot, close to bars, restaurants and shopping. The views from its rooms are unbeatable, whether you have a Brevant or Mont Blanc outlook. That's where the positives end. The rooms are shabby and exhausted. Beds are comfy but small and the bathrooms are a disaster. The price is relative to a busy resort but... More

We just checked in and our hotel room is large by European standards but needs updating with torn carpet and paint a bit dingy. The bathroom has a nice counter with room for toiletries and the heated towel bars are on. We have a nice balcony with views of the Mont Blanc glacier and waterfall and river. Good location near... That is a normal hotel with good rate out off the winter or summer season. The staff is polite and speak english , italian and german. Positive point. The room is fine but the bathroom is old and need to refunish quickly but nothing that make the hotel lose points. Few amenities at the room. No good soap and shampoo.... More

It was wonderful to be in the heart of Chamonix, and the hotel is definitely in a great location. But the king room was two twin beds pushed next to each other and was very dark and shabby. For the price we paid, we were very disappointed. The front desk was not very helpful, and we had pretty lousy service... More

We stayed overnight at the alpine hotel for a reasonable price in the offseason. The room was large with a balcony facing Mont Blanc. It was an awesome view. Although breakfast had bacon and eggs, it was very expensive (30 euros for 2 people). The business center was advertised but unavailable when I asked to use it at the front... More
