Dated hotel (peeling paint, carpet coming up in places, old beds and linens). Wifi so bad don't even try, and no hot water at peak times. Only good if you like the relative anonimity of a big hotel since the only others of decent size in Chamonix are $$$. Won't ever be back. Have also stayed next door at Hotel... More

Great, central location! Across the road from bars, restaurants and bars! Short walk to the nearest gondola. Bus stop outside if want to venture to a different ski resort. Rooms are basic, for the price as expected and clean. Perfect for what we wanted.

First impressions of the outside was idealised alpine architecture, until you see a letter missing from the hotel name. The hotel car parking was underground and access to the car park depended on someone answering a buzzer. The rooms are clean but small and the bathroom was adequate if you are built like a beanpole. The overall impression i received... More

I was pleasantly surprised with my room and was expecting the worst after reading other reviews. While my room was a bit dated it worked well and was incredibly clean. My room had two main areas separated by a door, the bed area and the hallway/shower & sink/toilet area. This worked great since I could get up early and turn... More

I went with a ski group. The hotel has some good points...rooms are large and all have balconies....plus the location is perfect...on all the bus routes and at the edge of the old town. However, the decor is really old / tired. For example, the tiles on my bathroom floor were loose and stuck to wet feet, plus the wall... More

All night long you could hear the boom boom boom of the underground bunker cafe. Not what you want to hear at 4am after an all night flight. Friday and Saturday were worse and screaming and drunkenness in the streets. Needs an update big time. Bathroom was always clean and we had a towel warmer which is quite nice. Hot... More

So this hotel is an old favourite of mine has been since about 2009 in ski season and summer, its location is second to none. Unfortunately, that is where the good news ends. Previously while staying at this hotel I have found the hotel, comfortable, clean and friendly. As with previous reviews the rooms are small but its location and... More

The hotel is quite OK. Big plus for good breakfast. A chef makes fresh omelet and eggs that taste very good! Rooms should soon be refurbished, they are old. The cleaning was very good and service at reception was OK. Staff was helpful. The hotel has a large lobby bar with fireplace and pool table. The location was brilliant with... More

This hotel is average and the rooms and bathrooms are somewhat dated and small. However, the rooms were clean and for the amount of time we spent there, fitted our purpose. The restaurant was okay, although I thought the breakfast buffet was great as it had a big selection. Staff were friendly and helpful. Main floor has a large bar... More

Stayed here with a couple of pals on a lads skiing weekend. Hotel is superbly placed and has excellent access to Chamonix town centre. It is also possibly the best placed for the ski bus as it's the 1st stop so it's usually empty when you get on. The rooms we were in were very tired and in need of... More
