We drove to the Mercure Hotel in Chamonix Centre about dinner time. The valley was shrouded in fog so we had no view of the Alps. However we had a fantastic bartender who spoke multiple languages and was very knowledgeable on many topics and was just a great guy. Dinner was fantastic steaks and great local red wine and some... I have to say that my friends and I did not stay at the hotel itself so we cannot say much about the rooms and all but we were so grateful to the front desk who kindly offered us help even though we were not their hotel guests that we want to let people know about it as well! We... More

Entrance looks good. Many rooms have balconies with good views. Rooms rather small, but do have a safe. Breakfasts very busy, often difficult to find a seat as many groups come down at the same time. We had one evening meal which was not good, insufficient food served, we had to go out and buy a Macdonalds.

Dear Sir, thank you for your kind comment; we are glad to hear you enjoyed the decoration in our "grand Chalet ". However, we took into account your remark concerning our big buffet breakfast. Even though the restaurant team is trying their best to provison enough food on the buffet; it is sometimes difficult when groups eat all in the... More

We enjoyed our stay at Mecure Chamonix Centre very much. Our room had beautiful views of Mont Blanc with a balcony which had the sun all through the morning and into the day. The room was clean and light filled with everything required for a short stay. Desk staff were friendly and spoke good English and helped when I requested... More

Good location - right next to station but this does mean some train noise (although not really intrusive because the trains are mainly local ones quieter than big cities). Go for this side as the front faces the road which can be noisier. Lovely views of Mont Blanc from the back rooms. However the staff , whilst pleasant, are totally... More

Stayed here on business recently- nice hotel, well appointed, not cheap. Pity about the staffing- very por in the bar in the evening- combining demands from a busy restaurant and bar orders is never a good idea with one barman only- nobody is happy! The restaurant on tis particular evening was struggling to cope with two large coach parties- despite... More

We booked this hotel on a recent stopover for a couple of nights in Chamonix Mont Blanc. The hotel is in a great location for the main township, but that's all it has going for it! On checking in, there was one lady at the desk and she was courteous, but trying to check us in and answer calls at... More

Stayed in this hotel as part of a group tour. It is ideally situated and is surprisingly quiet. The rooms are unusual and very good with balcony and great views. Located right next door to the small train station (Chamonix Mont Blanc), it was a relief to drag our bags over a short distance to the lobby. Staff was absolutely sweet and helpful. The elevation of the hotel was impressive with the back drop of Alps and more especially the Mont Blanc itself. We were offered rooms in the opposite annex of the Hotel. I was not too pleased initially. But when we reached the room in the first floor, it was an amazing experience. It was a very spacious room with an... More
