The hotel posts a 3 star rating but it is more of a 2 star. It is in an old building with no safety exit in case of a fire. The rooms are not very clean and the beds are not comfortable. The breakfast is charged an extra Euro 10, is not worth half the amount. Chamonix is a high... more

Not a fabulous hotel, but clean and excellent location. Friendly staff. We didn't try the breakfast. Probably a good value of Chamonix. We stayed here for the Mont Blanc marathon and the hotel is practically within site of the race start, which was incredibly convenient. No parking for the hotel, but parking was available in a reasonable walking distance. more

I booked this Hotel from a recommendation given by the Tourist Info in Chamonix. Not having stayed in Chamonix before I was at a bit of a loss as to where to book especially due to the diverse nature of what was needed. The trip was planned to celebrate my Wife's birthday (a significant one!) and I needed accomodation for... more

Like all hotels, this has its good points and bad points. The main bad point is the size of the rooms. Our room was small and with very little storage space. We'd turned up with some walking kit (probably not unusual in a mountain resort, I'd guess) and there was simply not enough storage space in the room to put... more

We stayed in the Vallee Blanche for five nights, arriving 4th July. This was a late booking and to be honest I was quite glad to get any accommodation. Lets get to the positive aspects of the hotel: Location On the negative side: Not good value. Staff were neither helpful nor unhelpful, they just didn't seem to care about the... more

We arrived into Chamonix, late on a Saturday night looking for a hotel in June and most of the hotels were closed down for the season (or renovations). Luckily, someone pointed us in the direction of the Hotel La Vallee Blanche and it worked out great! The price was 72 euros for a double room (the least expensive room on... more

Good, basic hotel with good quality food. Breakfast was normally cold but evening meals were well above average and of a good variety. Located within a very short distance from the nearest lift which takes you to the main ski area. All staff were English, so not really a 'French Experience'. Rooms are very basic but acceptable. If you like... more

My husband and I went to Chamonix to begin our trek of the Tour Mont Blanc to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We'd booked this same hotel last year, but had to cancel at the last minute when my mother in law passed away the day before we were to leave. They did not charge us any fee for last... more

The Hotel is ideally placed within the centre of Chamonix with numerous restaurants, bars and shops only a short walk away after a hard day on the slopes. Our room was on the ground floor off the lobby and was a good size with everything we needed, a lovely river frontage and the rooms were always serviced to a high... more
