This hotel is indeed very charming, it has an authentic Alpine feel and has a sprawling garden that includes a vegetable patch. That said, we had a few issues with our stay. Firstly, our room was strictly short-term corporate apartment-like. Small beds, totally devoid of character. Secondly, the breakfast was (for the cost) sub-par. By way of reference, we stayed... Originally checked in for 2nights but shortened our stay to one. Positives: location a relatively short 10min walk down to town centre (steep walk back up again!), stunning view from the room, quiet location, friendly staff. Beautiful setting for dinner, very good gastronomic menu in the restaurant. Downsides (which for us outweighed the upside): poor value for money, room was... More

We loved it here. The view from our terrace was amazing, room was very nice, bathroom was the only one we had on our travels with a great shower and modern amenities - it was really nice. The staff was so nice and helpful and the location was perfect for us. We only wish we had more time to spend... More

Unpretentious but elegant. Understated charm. Location is breathtaking. Rooms are just perfect. The view of the glacier and mountains, from your bed and balcony yet, after sleeping with the door open all night and no insects in June ... how good does it get? Not much better I assure you. The haute-cuisine is phenomenal, indeed memorable, a destination restaurant --... More

We celebrated a 50th birthday in the restaurant and got the best service we can imagine. Yann and his colleagues did a fantastic job to make sure we had a nice experience. The food was excellent, the atmosphere in the restaurant was very nice and the view is incredibly beautiful. They made us feel very welcome and the staff did... More

We had booked a junior suite but on arrival we were able to choose a double room on a higher floor with spectacular views of Chamonix and Mont Blanc. The approach up to the Auberge is by a steep hill which I walked just once but chose to drive for the rest of the time .The setting was beautiful especially... More

We stayed in a junior suite in early September of 2013. The view of the alps from our front patio was breathtaking. The room itself was spacious and lovely. I can't say enough good things about this B&B- it was quaint and luxurious. If we return to Chamonix, I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. The small sauna/hot tub area... More

Nice, cosy hotel. Would be a nice romantic spot for couples. The breakfast was not included in the room and very expensive so we skipped it and there was no kettle in the room for coffee/tea. The hotel is located on top of a long, steep hill and walking to and from town (especially with ski gear) was very difficult... More

This is an excellent place to stay in Chamonix, and we had a great time. Starting with the positives: the view is incredible. The hotel is a little out of town, so it is quiet and peaceful, set in gardens filled with summer flowers. Breakfast was excellent, served on the terrace with stunning views (the staff even brought over a... More

We chose this hotel because it is a little removed from the center of Chamonix with beautiful grounds and views. We were not disappointed. The flower and vegetable gardens are lovely as is the setting overlooking the Aiguille du Midi and the Mont Blanc massif. We had a new room in the adjacent "chalet." The room was wonderful! Very modern... More
