First they didn't know about my booking, but unfortunately had a room. I stayed there for one night, during which bed bugs feasted on me. TERRIBLE!

My stay here was my worst experience in 54 years!. Long delay at check-in, even though I was the only one checking in, and given wrong room. The rooms need renovation, the noise from rooms around goes on all night, wafer thin walls, no cleaning during my stay,I checked out after 3 nights as my stay got worse with noise.... More

We were a group of seven friends who stayed at Hotel El Paso for six days in February 2011. The hotel was noisy, dirty and had very small rooms. The room was not cleaned the whole week, and the towels and bedding were not changed. There was also quite noisy in the evening and night, both from the nightclub in... More

Firstly I have to say this is not a hotel as I understand the definition, it is a very very basic homeless shelter! Where to begin this was booked as a basic cheap hotel for 10 men (who are aged 35 - 45) so we were not expecting the Ritz, however upon entrance to our very small room there was... More

The El Paso accommodation is basic but spotlessly clean and there was plenty of hot water. Yes the night club was noisy but if you have plenty of alcohol you can sleep through it! The hotel is brilliantly located and the staff were extremely helpful, pleasant and laid back - and the restaurant served excellent food at good value for... More

The location near both the slopes and the restaurants is perfect. Only a 2 minute walk to the nearest lift. But be prepared for some noisy guests and absolutely no sound proof in the walls. So, if you like to get up and hit the slopes early, stay in some other hotel. Otherwise it's OK.

The El Paso is perfectly located in a small side alley in the heart of Chamonix. however, that's pretty much all it had going for it. The rooms were very basic, the hot water was questionable and the noise levels were worthy of earplug application. It would be the perfect place for young backpackers, or energetic young snowboarders who can... More

We spent 2 weeks in Chamonix and can say without hesitation that the service and hospitality we received from Christoph, Paulette and the rest of the El Paso staff were light years beyond our experiences at any other establishment in the valley. From the warm welcome, to the clean, comfortable room, to the way they went well beyond the call... More

Three of us have just returned from a five-night stay in Hotel El Paso. It was centrally located, just down a small street off one of the main streets so location couldn't have been better. The room was furnished adequately - old fashioned but comfortable with an "ensuite" bathroom. However, there was a nightclub downstairs which partly ruined our stay... More
