Very friendly staff with a lovely atmosphere. The rooms are great and so is the restaurant. The food is lovely with a good range including a children's menu. It is quite far to the slopes but as the center is busy there is easy transport to the ski resort.

Really lovely hotel in an amazing location, so close to town and one of the main slopes in Cham. Only a handful of rooms which is great as feels very personal. Amazing food and service, great beds that made for a great nights sleep after skiing! Really friendly and helpful staff, not a bad word to say about the hotel... More

OK we booked a short trip for a few days skiing. We normally go self catering for a boys trip so were impressed with the price of this catered chalet hotel when booking through Igoski. Our room was great, beautiful triple aspect corner room. The other room we booked was small. But you can walk to the slopes, or the... More

One friend ended up in hospital on the first day and stuck there the entire time, and somehow the staff at Hotel BDN still managed to make it an amazing holiday for us. Friendly, helpful, organised, great staff. The food was excellent an of an incredibly high standard. It'll be a real loss to Alpine Elements when they all move... More

Just returned from this hotel after a weeks Activity Holiday provided by Alpine Elements. The Hotel ruined the holiday experience as the room we were allocated was smaller than a box room and was to accommodate two people, no wardrobe, no mirror. We were moved to the Chalet only to find stained mattresses and a stinking oven. I am not... More

Dear ajayne1972, We are very saddened to read your review of your recent holiday as we were under the impression that you were happy after being moved to a great room in the Chalet instead. We haven’t received any feedback from you since your return from your holiday, and from reading the customer report form that you signed, you were... More

Stayed at BDN as part of an Alpine Elements all-in package, have to say they were brilliant from start to finish. We weren't expecting much from some of the reviews, but we were there mainly to walk so were ok to rough it BUT our room was quite spacious with what looked like a brand new bathroom, yep the shower was... We stayed at BDN first week of the Summer 2013 season, booked at the very last minute. The accommodation is adequate; it is a small hotel "of a certain age" and some of the room configurations are a compromise. Our room on the 1st floor was small, but clean, tidy each day and the bed was comfortable. The food was... More

I stayed at BDN in June as part of an Alpine Elements holiday. This is the third year that I have gone with the company. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A charming and characterful ski-hotel in the centre of Chamonix, much improved for 2012/13! The hotel is only 2 mins walk to the ski slopes and was partially renovated for the 2012/13 season. It offers excellent value accommodation in the centre of one of France’s most vibrant mountain towns. The hotel has a wonderful sun terrace that looks out on Mont Blanc and gives spectacular views of the mountains and Aguille Midi. Downstairs is an atmospheric boutique-style bar and brasserie in which we serve cakes and afternoon tea and our 3 course evening meals for hotel guests. The Bdn is a very central hotel, located just a stone’s throw from the slopes and lifts that access the popular Brevant and Flegere ski areas. In fact the slopes are less than 2 mins walk away!It is a rare thing indeed for a hotel in Chamonix to be located so close to the slopes, yet so near to the centre of town. This gives our guests the best of both worlds: nearly doorstep skiing and very convenient shopping and aprés ski! ... more   less
