We stayed at BDN for 4 nights in March. We wanted somewhere to lay our heads at night and get some food and we weren't disappointed. If you're looking for some kind of lavish ski lodge then look elsewhere, but if you want a simple, cosy hotel with helpful and attentive staff, lots of tasty food and a good bar... More

We arrived on the 25th March 2012 for 1 week, had seen all the negative reviews on trip advisor, but thought it could not be as bad as the reviews made out! The web page shows lovely roomy rooms with white floors and white furniture, where was this picture taken? certainly not in this hotel! My husband and I had... More

My son and I have just returned to the UK after a weeks stay at Hotel BDN. The staff were first rate. Food was 'good'. Facilities were very poor. This place lacks a comfy lounge to use before dinner or generally to relax in. Rooms were basic yet beds were very comfortable. Hot water ran out quickly but soon re-heated.... More

Fun but odd…. Start with the positives: I booked with IgoSki, sister company of Alpine Elements for a 4 day ski weekend travelling with my son (17). First off, the staff are friendly and helpful, in so far as they can be, the hotel is clean but rickerty. And is all painted wooden floors with some interesting joinery around the... More

Let me start by saying Ollie, the ho(s)tel rep was very good. Friendly and ready to help, always a smile on his face. A little bit disorganised but still a positive of the overall BDN experience. I will agree with the negative reviews across the board on Tripadvisor. This ho(s)tel was a huge disappointment. Not only was the room (room... More

Where to start .... 1 - Room (room 1) - to be fair this was a large triple room at the front of the building. However - the shower cubicle and sink ensemble was just disgusting. Filthy, stained, and just plain old. Hot water was limited - vey much depending on who else was showering at the time. The wiring... More

I agree with the recent reviews. It isn't 5 star but the price reflects that. Quirky describes it well and it is in a good location. The staff were fantastic, always helpful and the one issue I had was resolved well by Ollie. The drinks in the hotel weren't too expensive and the recommended Stella and Peach is a winner!... More

The Hotel (Hostel) The staff are warm and welcoming but this is not really a hotel with limited opening hours and very limited facilities. It is better described as a very nice hostel, boutique hotel it is not save possibly one wall of designer wall paper. It is a very good location you can walk into the centre of Chamonix... More

HOTEL CHAMONIX BDN OK where do I start? I am actually writing this as I do believe that Chamonix Hotel BDN has had quite unfair press via trip advisor, and after experiencing a skiing trip and stay at the hotel, I am now in a position to ‘tell it as it is’! I have to say that we were ‘bricking... More

Really quirky nicely done up hotel with staff that genuinely care about keeping the guests happy. The chef, Jackie did a fab job of keeping us all very well fed with great food and Alex the manager was brilliant. We stayed in room number 3 with gorgeous views(apparently hotel was only renovated in December so looks in great shape), had... More
