Clean room with view. Nice staff. No problem to bring small dog. Perfect location in the old town. Ok breakfast. On site parking but limited space. Big parking at the chateau (3 min walk). Don't miss the nice wine bar just 100 m down the street.

After spending one night at Hotel du Chateau I was covered in bug bites (about 15 all over my arms). It was a really cold night so I'm assuming they weren't mosquitoes... It left me with a very bad taste in my mouth. There was also a distinct lack of staff presence during my stay. I left my keys at... More

Perhaps I was spoilt by staying in fabulous accommodation at very cheap places in Bellagio and Scotland, as I was disappointed with the Hotel du Chateau in Annecy. Yes it's cheap, clean and close to the old city & but you have a steep climb to get to it; the bathroom was so small that an obese person would not... More

Stayed here after staying at Hotel Palais de l'Isle down the hill. The room was basic but nice. Location, just off the streets of the old town up the hill towards the castle which is great for the quiet. Nice stay, can't fault it!

Just a few steps away from the main streets of Annecy. We had a good size 3 share room with private bathroom. All facilities very clean and staff provided a warm welcome. For an extra rate breakfast is provided which is extensive and plentiful. In good weather you can take it out onto the balcony that overlooks the town and... More

This beautiful hotel is located next to the most famous chateau in the whole of Annecy. It was cartoon week in Annecy where all the computer animators were out and about for the international film festival. Hotel du chateau was one of the finest hotels available so I chose to stay here. It was a marvelous choice as the place... More

Apart from the bathroom smelling of old wet rags, the room is ok for 1 night. It is ideally located and the staff are very kind. Nothing exceptional about this place. Though the view can be splendid! Enjoy

Been there before. Gone a bit downhill due to frosty unfriendly recrptionist (the older one) who showed little concern for guest welfare and enjoyment. The Hotel was very noisy during the night too. Breakfast @ €8 was not good value gor money. No availability of coffee on its own instead of whole breakfast. Won't be back.

The place is very well situated near the old city but it is an old home. The rooms are acceptable but the bathrooms are so tiny you cannot move in them. The owners are friendly but the place needs an urgent facelift. As it is in town the price is high. We found better places in the outskirts.

The location was great - a 10 minute walk from the train & right in heart of bustling old town, yet somehow just far enough away that it was remarkably quiet at night. The rooms are very small.. but for the price point (70-80$), that is mostly ok with me.. but be warned with 2 small suitcases, there was barely... More
