- Des Alpes Hotel

We had a great stay in Hotel des Alpes, Annecy. It is located in a heart of town, 5 min to the old town, 8 minutes to the lake. Sunday local market starts justoutside ot the hotel. rooms simple but clean, great staff, very helful, and breakfast forthe offered price was normal, but all fresh and tasty.

Hotel location is convenient to the bus and train station, beautiful lake and all other attractions. Rooms are small, clean, everything worked as supposed. Hotel interior has preserved original style and breakfast was special joy served in room with wooden floors, tables and ceilings and nice painted pictures hanging on walls. Felt like you have traveled back to 19th century....

The location is convenient to the station, lake and all other attractions. While it was not 5 star accommodation, there was nothing defective or objectionable. The staff were quite helpful with planning our time in Annecy and surrounds. We were not ambushed with any unexpected charges on the credit card, no charges for using the wifi or turning on the...

We chose this hotel for it's location-close to the railway station and from the reviews. The staff were extremely friendly, especially Nicolas, they were all happy to give tips and advice. Room was larger than expected, lovely bathroom and must have been recently decorated. Access to the beautiful old city of Annecy was an easy stroll. We hired bikes in...

It was perfect for my needs and I would recommend highly. I saw later that Rick Steeves had also recommended it. My...

He had 3 rooms and our whole party was delighted. They have firm beds and clean rooms. It was Tuesday, Market Day and the place was buzzing! I would...

As other reviewers have pointed out, the big plus about the Hotel des Alpes is the location. It is right across the road from the train station and centrally located in the old town. Apart from that, it is clean, comfortable, run by welcoming and courteous staff and serves a reasonable breakfast. It isn't a luxury hotel by any means,...

This town is a must see for a trip to France. Our hotel room was clean, the staff friendly (they spoke English) and the morning breakfast buffet good. It was quite warm during our stay there, so an air conditioner would have been nice in the room, but they obviously have little need for this technology most of the year....
