Le Manoir is, in fact, a well-dressed manor house with service to match. Many rooms look out on gardens in bloom even in October (some with balconies). Its lovely dining room serves good food in an old-fashioned decor. We particularly appreciated the dining room on the rainy night we arrived and its kitchen even came up with chicken sandwiches for... More

This hotel was built in the 60's and desperately needs investment. Our room was actually fine but was not cleaned adequately. Lift was not working and was a relic of the 60's. Breakfast was poor and tables not cleared from dinner so limited choice of seating. We ate only once in the hotel in 5 days once to many. The... More

This hotel should be called Fawlty Towers! Everything about it is second-rate! That includes the service, the decor and the standard of cleanliness. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! We arrived at 4.30 pm and ordered a cup of tea. Unfortunately, the receptionist forgot to pass the request on. There were no pillows on the beds only an... More

Hotel Le Manoir is set in a very nice building, in pleasant, albeit smaller than expected, gardens. The room was quite small, and the decoration and furniture somewhat dated. The shower was tiny and did not drain properly, filling up with water around my feet as I showered (which is one of my pet hates). One day, the cleaners inexplicably... More

Remember the exchange in the movie "Casablanca" where Bogart is asked "why did you come to Casablanca?" and he says "For the waters", to which he receives the reply "but this is a desert!" and he said "I was misinformed..." Le Manoir is a hotel frozen in time from the 1940s (or maybe the 1930s) and therein lies its charm.... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel earlier this summer and were quite pleased. It is not a luxury type hotel but very comfortable and the price was right and they have a very pleasant dinning room and outdoor café. The less expensive room that we had was small but adequate and although it looked out on a back... More

Le Manoir was our choice in Aix Les Bains because it has nice gardens, clean, efficient rooms with balconies overlooking the gardens and parts of the town down the hill. (The antique cars are a kick as well.) We also had a very good reasonably priced dinner. The service was prompt and the selection of cheeses or dessert from the... More

I was there as part of business trip. The booking was made and paid by one of our suppliers. Late arrival and check in was managed well. I had a huge piece of luggage that I had to carry myself to the third floor. No staff was available. The basic room had malfunctioning TV and bed light. After 20 min... More

My mother and I stayed here on a road trip through France and I thought it was absolutely lovely! We had no problems with any of the hotel staff and I though the general ambiance was excellent. The bed was very comfortable. The pool was very calming and a very nice side to the hotel. No, it was not on... More

Just stayed for an overnight and found the room very basic. We also booked for dinner, which was ok, but service not good. Overall a very expensive and unexpiring stay. Tables for breakfast were not even laid up and little breakfast choice considering the extra charge.
