This very old, run down and desperately needing repair hotel has only two things going for it—convenient to the city centre and close parking for Saturday morning's market. Be careful sitting on the toilet, the seat may fall off. Thank goodness for the air conditioning which kept out the noise of the busy street. Personally, I would pass on this... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel earlier this week. The bathroom was so unclean that my wife would not use the shower this morning. I discovered that old used bars of soap and shampoo packets had been left above the shower stall wall. Wi-Fi in the room was very slow or not working at all, unless I stepped... More

We spent two nights in Hotel du Cheval Blanc during our mini stay in the beautiful St Remy de Provence. Pros: + Location. Right next to the town centre. Easy access to the town. Easy to find. + Service. Staff rather friendly and helpful. Missed a little bit of warm welcoming. and then the cons: - Parking. Hotel parking spaces... More

This hotel is in the heart of the town centre of St Remy, very convenient for all attractions, bars and restaurants. Easy walk or cycle to complete the Van Gogh trail, visit the Hospital and Roman ruins. There is enough to keep you ocupied for a few days here and this is a good base for sleeping. It is on... More

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of accommodation at a two star establishment. The room was clean, the twin beds were comfortable, the bathroom quite adequate although the shower was tiny, as a typical French shower. Wi-fi was only available on the terrace, which was fine as we spent quite a lot of time watching the world go by... More

Simple room with all the tourist needs: air conditioning, shower, etc. The center of the city. Very nice view to the olive trees. Big patio for all visitors. Clean rooms. Pleasant hotel without anything extra. Good value for money. Only one inconvenience-too noisy in the early morning cause of cleaning machine on the road, but if you close the windows-no... More

You'd have to be a very picky first world traveler indeed not to appreciate the value of this charming if a bit funky hotel. A very good shower, clean sink and toilet, comfortable bed in a room bigger than most hotel rooms in Paris, a possibility of a step-out and sit down balcony over the small garden in front of... Avoid this "hotel" like the plague, as others have said, its only saving grace is its position in picturesque Saint Remy but to be honest there are SO many alternatives that you would never have to step over the threshold of the Hotel du Cheval Blanc. My daughter and I were only able to secure a quadruple room through Booking.com... More

We read the other reviews and thought, OK, it will be fine because we didn't want to spend too much on accommodation. It was a hard-earned lesson obviously false economy. The outside of the hotel looks promising so we felt OK with our decision when we arrived. That was until we opened the door to our room. The smell of... More

Nothing wrong with the place and i would love to get hold of the place and do it up. The position very near the centre of St Remy is a winner and if it is only a holding pen while you chase the beauty of the countryside its a good stop. Bed was average.....no problems with the cleanliness as it... More
