This is a centrally located little hotel. It sits right in the center of town and you can walk from there to most important sites. It is right next door to Court Julien, which is a hip square with good restaurants and cafes. You can also walk to the Vieux Port via the pedestrian area of Marseille. Thus, the location... More

We spent a week here in room 23 at the back so quiet and good for sleeping. The hotel does do breakfast at an extra cost but it was not "promoted" to us upon our check-in, however there are many places nearby to get breakfast. Our room had plain walls and was large with good floor space and a big... More

This hotel is alright but not nice enough that I would return there if I went back to Marseilles. Its about a 10 minute walk to the main harbor, and an equal distance from the very colorful Cour Julien neighborhood. The hotel is just 5 minutes from a convenient metro to the main train station, which has frequent bus ('navette')... More

I chose this hotel on the basis of Tripadvisor reviews, particularly those that mentioned the quality of sleeping, and I was not disappointed. The floors and walls are solid, the windows double-paned, and the garden in the back masks any nearby traffic. (Ask for a garden room, which I believe are also the less expensive ones.) The hotel staff is... More

Positives: Hotel is centrally located and close to everything, so that was very convenient. Nice staff. Had free wifi (but have to ask for password every day at the reception). Big bathroom. Negatives: Old. Dirty floors, carpets in the bedroom with not a singe clean spot on them. Safe in the closet not attached. No curtain in the bathtub, so... More

Spent one night here while visiting Marseilles for the weekend and paid a very good rate (60 euros). The positives- large bedroom & bathroom, great location, very friendly & helpful staff. The downsides- although the name & professional pictures of the hotel gave the impression of somewhere quite kooky & individual it is actually quite a standard 3/4 star hotel.... More

Some staggering lack of professionalism by the staff: On my first night, I walked towards the stairs on my way upstairs and caught sight of the door to the WC located off the dining room. The door was slightly open and, inside, the night staff member was pulling up his underwear, presumably after having gone to the loo with the... More

I spent 5 days for business. It was one of the most pleasant hotels I visited lately in Europe. Clean, big rooms, very convenient locations, less than 5 minutes walk from the Metro and walking distance from the port. I highly recommend it!

Spent 5 nights here in early October. Endorse previous positive comments by reviewers re staff, location and rooms. There are a number of restaurant districts nearby- Cours Julien isn't the only one. Bus 21 from around the corner will take you to the Port area and back. The multi day all-metro pass is great value and has great coverage. If... More
