nice, well-appointed hotel in the downtown area of marseille. good location, though downtown is pretty dead at night, it's just a ten minute walk to vieux port and cours de julien, and close to the metro that can get you to the beach (pretty easily, if you study the bus connections). The rooms are very nice and a great price... more

Pros: - Air conditioning! - Had a good night's sleep on the bed - Minibar was a godsend. Used it to keep my bottle of water cold, and also my home made dinner from Monoprix! - Tasteful decor (orange and chocolate) - Attentive reception staff - Free internet terminal in the lobby (however, you need to stand up to use... more

I was planning on staying at Hotel Edmond Rostand and was on my way to Marseille when one of my connecting trains from Milan ran over a suicidal woman. Obviously, the train schedule was pushed back and I ended up missing my train to Marseille. There wasn't another train available that day and so, I had no other alternative but... more

We just went there strictly for the night's sleep - we were visiting friends who couldn't accomodate us. Conclusion: we didn't sleep a wink. The bed is as hard as wood, and very small (we are both average height and not fat)! Our windows gave on a street, and the noises are very audible, despite good windows. No blankets were... more

Small hotel, quite centrally located in a side street with some antique shops and upcsale fashion shops nearby - 5 minutes walk to nearest metro station, 10 min walk to old port. Friendly reception, good breakfast; clean, but rather small rooms and some minor technical deficiencies concerning the the bathroom (mix of old and new fittings). Extremely small elevator (not... more

We paid £60 per night and this was good value. A 15 minute walk to the old Port and downtown Marseille and a nearby Metro connects you to the main station. Friendly service. The room was clean, a reasonable size and secure nice and simple decoration, bathroom could have done with a lick of paint but was really fine. The... more

Friendly welcome ; clean, basic rooms ; air-conditioning ; mini-bar; easy 10 minute walk to centre and old port. This hotel is good value for money and we would go back there. Wonderful eating down by the old port. Nothing to do with the hotel, but beware cost of taxi between airport and Marseilles centre. There is an airport bus... more

Nice hotel run by very friendly owners. Nice, simple rooms, perfectly ok for the price. You can get there by metro and a short walk. It is located in small, quite streets. Nice breakfast in a pleasant, quite big room. If you prefer a bigger choice of (french) delicious pastry, there is a salon du the just across the street.... more
