we did choose this citadine, because our friends have been there laready and we did follow there advice. it was baout 10 minutes walking away from the main train station and also about 10 munutes walkin into the middle of marseille center. clean and easygoing hotel. simple interiour, but al was clean. friendly team at recption and breakfast service.

It was nothng special - old Deasign - but for the two nights we spend there, it was ok. The neighborrhood was in the night not so very safe, but we always have been with a travel group, so there was not real problem for this. Breakfast easy, but all was fresh and friendly service team have been there.

Pro: Hotel is located 12 minutes walk to Train centrale station... otherwise hotel isn't worth it. Rooms itself is decent, but the area well the hotel is located isn't the safest nor the best regarded in Marseille. We stayed in this hotel, and it was the worst hotel of a 7 week trip. Looking for a cheap bed for 4 nights close to the station and the town centre and found it here. Yes it does border a rather seedy area but the subway outside the door will get you anywhere quickly and it is only a few minutes walk to the town centre. I cant believe this place has such good reviews on Tripadvisor. I really have to say, I was not impressed at all. The hotel is very good, It's highly recommended for Marseille. The metro station is just outside the hotel. The neighbourhood and the centre of Marseilles should be avoided. You can't image something like this until you see it with your eyes. Its a big Ghetto ! The worst neighbourhoods in Bucharest can't compare with centre Marseilles. There is no problem... More

If you are going to Marseille, the location of your hotel is very important as there are a lot of dodgy neighbourhoods and you need to stay in a good one. I would recommend staying anywhere actually in Vieux Port, (not near it as this hotel's description states.) and on the right side of Vieux Port, anywhere near Notre Dame... More

Room was clean and functional for four people with a useable kitchenette and separate toilet. Hairdryer and toaster were available on request, although there was no mention of them in the room so it was up to you to ask. Hotel was as represented via trip advisor. Rooms clean, nice having a kitchenette . The location is good for seeing the port and museum.
