Stayed at Mercure Euro Centre in Marseille on visit to a friend. Very good stay, typical Mercure property, clean, stylish, comfortable. Very nice sized room with two single beds (typical in europe) and a large bathroom with tub and great shower. The hotel is located just off one of the main roads which lead to the city centre (currently undergoing some road work for the new tram system), but is only 10 minutes from the train station, although you will need a decent map to find it immediately. We stayed at the Euro Centre for 2 nights in late June and we arrived at 11:00pm on a Saturday night as another guest was complaining her car had been broken into across the street from the hotel. Hotel is OK for business travelers, but not near much of anything otherwise. Hotel's web page tells you it's near the Colbert metro (undergound, subway, u-bahn) station but doesn't tell you how to find the hotel once you exit the station.
