The building itself is fantastic so it was exciting to stay in the hotel. Very friendly staff. We had booked the cheapest double but it looked a bit too mean for two of us (fine if you're on your own) so we upgraded to a studio, which had a double bed and a single. Beautifully done out in keeping with... More

Four of us (two architect couples) stayed in one of the duplex units for two nights. It gave us full access to the building's rooftop complex. Truly inspiring to experience a living building - families gathering for sunset, shopping, going about daily life. We spent our entire day in the building - never left!

There you can understand the Modulor and why Le Corbusier was ahead of the game on sustainable architecture. The hotel provide a clean environment, great breakfast, in a simple decor imagined by Le Corbusier's great designer (Charlotte Perriand) and furniture maker (Jean Prouve). Great places to vist and stay in. I have brought small groups there and will be back... More

I've always wished to visit the Unite d'Habitation by Le Corbusier and I was delighted to get the opportunity to stay in the Hotel. The building was mesmerizing and totally unique. It needs to be experienced to be understood. I expected a great deal from it and it delivered. One aspect that made this stay doubly special was the Hotel... More

I'm quite surprised to read the response from the management of Le Corbusier on Mr Chaumeix review and it is moreover to be accused of bad or inappropriate behaviour such as clogging toilets. I was part of this group of decent business people and as far as I can say, the toilet in my room F11 was already slowly flushing... More

Our stay at the hotel was an amazing experience. I have never met such an enthusiastic host, willing to let us stay in her own apartment and impart her insightful knowledge of the building. It was great to get a feel for the design of this building by having first hand experience of living in it, this helped immensely in... More

I visited the hotel with a few of my friends. On arrival we were taken to our rooms. Staff were very helpful in assisting us with our various queries. Our studio rooms were large, clean with beautiful, views. Just to note, if you do book a room, make sure you email and ask what services you can or cant use... More

I agree with sarahcc101. Appallingly expensive. And tiny. NOT AT ALL Corbusier's vision. We were charges extra for a tiny camp bed even though we'd specified a room for two when we booked. And no room to swing a cat. I cant insert the correct date, we were there in September 2011.

Really a great opportunity to stay in a beautiful design artefact. The staff are helpful and easy going- do not expect a modern slick hotel, this is all about the simple ease. The hotel is set out of the centre of marseille the views over the city are incredible. It is an amazing place to have a drink for the... More

Having been brought up in a Corbsier-inspired house, and made an in-depth study of his architecture at Uni, I was eager to stay here (L'Unite D'Habitation/Ville Radiuse 1952). The "hotel" is not a hotel in the usual sense, but a series of "apartments" owned by the Restaurant owners. Corbusier's design features "apartments" in 15 designs from one small room for... More
