On the last night of our South of France vacation we enjoyed a very congenial stay at this top-rated hotel. Though we had originally requested a high floor we were given a wheelchair room on a lower floor; however, we ended up loving the close-up view of the port and got a kick out of watching the action so near... This hotel is in the middle of the port. Great location. All rooms have a balcony overlooking the main street. The rooms are pretty basic, small but clean. Breakfast was ok, but limited. You can also sit outside on the balcony for breakfast. It is a bit noisy at night. Now that it is warmer, people are playing instructions up... More

The location is ideal for observing the street theater at the old port and as a base for strolling. Our room was low on the harborside with a miniscule balcony (they are bigger upstairs), but a fine view. Staff was wonderfully helpful and the breakfast excellent.

Modern and very clean with a excellent welcome, we stay in a quiet and good size room with a great view. Excellent location for all sites that we visit. Easy place to eat around. A perfect stay in Marseille.

The best feature about the Hotel la Résidence du Vieux-Port is its central location offering most of city’s sights within a few minutes walk and spoiling its guests with fantastic view to the harbour and the Basilique de Notre-Dame de la Garde. There are many nice cafés and restaurants aligned along the harbour offering great choice for breakfast or dinner.... More

What a beautiful hotel. What makes it beautiful are its people lead and headed by a beautiful, charming and committed Manager ,Julie. She and her staff are doing a brilliant job of personifying excellence in hospitality. The hotel is right on the Vieux Port. The location therefore is perfect. The rooms are large very well maintained and presented, the linen... More

We arrived from the Station to be greeted very warmly and felt extremely welcomed. The room was on the third floor with a balcony overlooking the old port Notre Dame de la Grande and and good overview of the whole old port area. The room was well equipped with dressing gowns slippers nice bath stuff a safe and extremely comfortable... More

Located on the Quai du port, on Le Panier side of the Vieux-Port, Hôtel la Résidence du Vieux-Port surely has the ideal location, situated as it is within comfortable walking distance of many of the things a traveller would most likely want to see, and do in Marseille. The historic and, now, quite trendy Le Panier district is up the... More

We very much enjoyed our stay. The staff is super....and the breakfast superb. The room decor is a little quirky....but they are large and very clean. The location is absolutely super. Many restaurants in walking distance. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a room on the seventh floor overlooking the bustling harbour and a superb view of Notre Dame de la Garde. The welcome we received was genuine and delightful . Breakfast buffet is served on the first floor and is superb. The decor of the hotel is 1950's in style, but modern with well equipped rooms. For thoes who... More
