Pros: beautiful old building overlooking the old port. Great breakfast: fantastic cheeses and breads. Very nice staff, polite and helpful. Comfy bed, good size rooms and spotless bathroom. Kettle, coffee and tea in room. Quick and prompt room service. Thick walls, no noise. Cons: received a smoking room with a baby. In the and it wasn't too bad, because the... More

The room was small but comfortable, and the bed very nice. However, there were no instructions on how to use the rather strange coffee machine, no info for tourists, only one rather uncomfortable chair, and no where to store clothes, other than one cupboard for which they had only provided three hangers (for two people!). No drawers whatsoever. Now it... More

Stayed there for a week-end to visit Marseille. At first, I was desappointed by the size of the room, a bit small, and not enough modern for me (there was renovation going on the last floors for he record), but I forgot those details...Why? Because, I loved the bathroom, the Hotel has a perfect location, easy to access to local... More

My wife and I came to Marseille for a conference course (just me) and as the start of a holiday and wider exploration of the area. We lashed out and paid for one of the two top level suites, the George Sand room, and it surpassed all expectations. What a view to wake up to, or to admire before retiring:... More

Great location - easy access to local transports. Walking distance to shops and beautiful sights. Hotel is need of little modernisation which I believe was underway as we nearly could not find entrance to hotel because of all the scaffolding. Great FREE WIFI no problem there. Rooms are clean and stocked up daily, shower screen slightly short, made a bit... More

This is our second visit to Marseille to join a cruise. Despite what people say, Marseille from our experience, Marseille is a lovely city with lovely people. We wanted a hotel in the Old Port and the Grand Hotel Beauvau provided what we always look for: location, cleanliness, a good bed, and breakfast as offered on Hotels.com at a reasonable... More

We stayed as a couple in the Grand Hotel Beauvau for one night. The tiny room 309 has an old uneven carpet which has several blotches, pretty disgusting!!! The bathroom was clean, the view of the old port is average (unfortunately there are restaurants in front of the hotel with dirty awnings). Breakfast was ok, fresh juice, bread, variety of... More

Marvellous location. Romm is comfortable enough, except of backyard view rooms - they are gloomy all day round. Staff is friendly and English speaking - changed my room from that dark side to bright in 5 minutes. In just two steps - The Old Port with great restaurants and fish market, ferry to If island. Enjoied this hotel.

The Grand Hotel Beauvau is located right on the waterfront of the old port. Our 'classic double' faced the street but the more expensive rooms on the other side have glorious views over the old port. The hotel is older style with large, comfortable rooms. It claims four stars but three and a half would probably be a more accurate... More

We only spent one night here but found the hotel quite adequate for our needs. It was a nightmare to get to with a car though. The entrance is on a street that says no entry but you enter with your car anyway as the street is specifically for the hotel. The have a great service, taking your car and... More
