The Hotel de la Prefecture is quite easy to find and is roughly a 15-20 minute walk from the train station. The staff at the reception were very helpful and polite and gave me access to the WiFi straight away. My room was absolutely fine with all the amenities that I would need including my own bathroom. Of course being... More

Nice hotel located in the city center, 20 minutes walking from either the main train station and from the city center (Old port). It's also close to one Marseille's main streets, so you'll have shops, supermarkets, cafés and restaurants all around. The rooms are not luxurious and have only the minimum needed, but that's what we paid for so I... More

Place was hard to find. The sign was not obvious from the street. Location was good but 5 minutes up the road you'd find yourself in a not so good area. The service was terrible. Guy at reception didn't seem to know what he was doing. My room was facing the street so it was really noisy, even with the... More

A clean, average hotel. It's a bit old fashioned and the elevator is the smallest I've ever been into. The staff is not the most friendly people in the world but overall the hotel is comfortable. I only had a bad experience with another guest in the hotel. I was staying with a friend (she and I both girls in... More

We needed a hotel at this location and the other options were much more expensive. The room is very small with barely a small night table. The room was clean, but the rest of the hotel was not exactly very nice. For the price it should be better. For one night was ok...

I was very satisfied for the price and what I expected from a typical 1 star hotel. I would recommend this if you are traveling on a budget but want to be in walking distance of the Vieux Port and have a decent private room and bath. My wife and I were simply hoping for a cheap option that was... More

Booked last minute and wanted a cheap option... The hotel is in a fine location... not fantastic, but maybe a 15 minute walk to the main port area. Check in was OK... we were presented with 4 keys and told to choose a room... 2 were on the 1st floor and 2 on the 4th. We were told if we... More

Great, affordable place to stay in Marseille. Very friendly reception staff. Walkable distance to some great nearby cafes and the Marina. Elevator is old and seems a bit unsafe (but at least they have an elevator, unlike many other older-style hotels in Europe!). Rooms are spacious and have a romantic feel to them. They are clean and some rooms offer... More

+ cheap + basicly clean + clean towels every day - very discusting air conditioning machine, maybe moldy - stains in white sheets (probably just won't leave off in washing machine) Would not take my boyfriend to a romantic holiday but with friend and low budget it was good! :)
