The main benefit is staying at the base of the steps of the train station if you're in between cities. Rooms are small, bathrooms smaller. Good price if you're on a tight budget, but if you can spend more elsewhere, do it.

I got in to the Marseille train station late at night, so this was really convenient. The rooms were a little tired-looking, but otherwise fine.
