I don't know how this hotel got to be #6 in Marseille...the previous reviewers must have different expectations thn we do of a 5 star hotel. Don't get me wrong, it's not terrible...clean sheets, adequate bathroom and helpful staff. But carrying suitcases up four flights of stairs...not so good. They do have free wifi, but no air conditioning.

We stayed at Hotel Lutia for 3 nights and were pleasantly surprised with everything from the service to the rooms and the breakfast. I was in Hotel Lutia at the beginning of June 2012, and it was a great value-for- money hotel, and I found William-the manager to be very helpful for all the bookings I did on the SNCF website. As I went from Australia with very little French, I very much appreciated the assistance provided by William.
