Have stayed in many (approximately 40) Ibis Hotels in the past but this was definitely not of the usual standard. The toilet pan was cracked and had been for some time, the light in the bathroom mirror was not working, the whole hotel had a "shabby" feel about it - well in need of modernisation. Whilst sitting in the outside...

Dinner in the restaurant was poor. It was 45 minutes before we were given our menu and service was very slow. A German couple nearby were also kept waiting a long time for their meal and when it came it was the wrong order. No replacement meals appeared and the couple walked out without eating. The restaurant was full and...

We booked this a day in advance as we drove to Orange from the south. It was easy to find, from the centre of town, just follow the signs to the A7/A9 interchange. The hotel is on the same road as the railway station, just further out of town. We chose the hotel because of positive reviews here and because...

After the 650 mile drive from Calais it is ideal. it is also within half a mile of the Roman Theatre. The dining room in the hotel, with its 'outdoor area'...

A few general things about European hotels I've learned on my travels:

We enjoyed two nights at the Ibis Orange Centre. Lovely clean hotel with friendly staff. The buffet breakfasts have a great choice and the evening meals were lovely. The hotel is in walking distance of the town centre. If we are in this area again, we would definitely stay at this hotel.
Night staff was very nice and helpfull with the luggages. Small rooms with a large bed. Not a lot of empty space, but just what you need, when stopping for the night. You can have a late continental breakfast for 4€. Think, it is a 2 star Hotel. So don't expect 5*, but it is every € worth.
