I requested the best ocean view room they had available and was given a very nice, High floor room with dual balconies overlooking the bay. The view was beautiful and definitely worth the price. The location is ideal, as there are plenty of restaurants within a short walk and some night life as well. One thing that stops me from... More

We arrived in Villefrance and called the Hotel Welcome for directions....got us totally lost in the little streets above the waterfront, yikes! Haha, arrived finally and were very please with the location of the hotel. It really couldn't have been more perfect right on the water. We had splurged on what was advertised as a room on the top floor... More

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Welcome in June 2014. Our room had a balcony with a view of the water and bustling street below. The bed was extremely comfortable and the service was impeccable. We would walk to the beach, set up an umbrella, and sip mojitos and share a baguette sandwich from the beachside... More

We headed down to the seafront on a dark December night and wandered into the Hotel Welcome,. We ordered two gin and tonics which were served with snacks etc, it was so good we had a second one, waiter was very professional and the view was of course excellent

We spent the last days of a 6 week stay in France at the Welcome Hotel. We booked online and managed to get breakfast included on an on-line special. Breakfast is serviced fronting the Mediterrranean, either inside or out. Nice setting. We were upgraded to a waterfront room which made us happy. Room was nice - ample space, nice decor,... More

We enjoyed one night in Villefranche at the end of a week in Provence, and pleased we stayed there. A nice hotel with some history - a proud boast of famous people staying there - Cocteau, Hemingway (inevitably!), Hendrix (though not one was spotted whilst we were there). A very nice welcome on arrival and very helpful and clear guidance... More

Stayed 3 nights beginning November. Stayed at the superior room. Advantages : - sea view - location (quite area, lots a restaurants around, better than Nice in my opinion) - balcony overlooking the sea - hotel staff is very kind & helpful - breakfast is served in front of the sea, good quality (however, limited choice) Less positive : -... Amazing views, spectacular location on the Mediterranean on a beautiful bay and harbor. We were delighted with our 4th floor balcony room and enjoyed watching the activity in the harbor. Olivier and the staff were very welcoming. We stayed 3 nights in mid-October and went to the beach to swim on 2 afternoons when it was 75 degrees F. We... More

Big fan of Rick Steves so when deciding where stay on the French Riveria, chose The Welcome Hotel in Villefranche-sur-Mer. Perfect choice. Location ideal for us. Room was good(could use an update) with balcony overlooking the harbor. Was a bit pricey, but probably worth it. Folks at front desk were fantastic. Helped us out a lot with reservations, general advice,... More

Hotel Welcome nestles on the seafront in the village of Villefranche sur Mer....a short drive from Nice. It is surrounded by restaurants and quaint shops. The hotel sits on the sea level but the village is built in the mountainous landscape and there are quite a number of steps going up to the Main Street level where the buses run... More
