My husband and I spent 4 nights at Messadiere in June and the hotel is undoubtedly beautiful. It is set up in the hills, away from the centre which suited us perfectly but there is a shuttle bus available to take you to town when ever you require. We ate at the hotel restaurant on the first night which was... more

My partner and I booked a five night stay at the Chateau based on pictures of the hotel and user reviews here and on Tablet. We arrived at the hotel and were shown to a room that couldn't have been bigger than 18 square meters. The room was so small, that my partner and I could not walk around the... more

This is our third trip to St. Tropez and Messardiere. We still love this hotel. What we love about it is: 1. The location, being just a couple minutes away from the town. 2. The 24 hour hotel shuttle. 3. The beautiful pool which has a very quiet, relaxed, sophisticated vibe. 4. The prestige rooms with the huge seaview terraces.... more

We were unexpectedly upgraded to a suite, with French provencal decor and a sweeping view of the port and surrounding countryside. We were unexpectedly upgraded to a suite, with a large bedroom, bath and full salon/living room. The pool is impressive for a smaller property and the grounds were immaculate. We were there for a wedding, and the food and... more

I stayed here with my husband during our tip to Cote d'Azur to celebrate my birthday in late summer 2007. I selected this hotel after reviewing all the reviews and hotel pictures, and everything was true. The hotel is more gorgeous in person -- pictures don't do justice. It is a small boutique hotel -- quiet, clean, with a gorgeous... more

La Messardiere is one of the very few places we love to re-visit, on our previous visits everything was perfect, but on our last stay a few cracks were appearing. We stayed in a Deluxe Room with sea view , walk-in shower in the bathroom, nice terrace with chairs and loungers ( bird drops on the loungers on arrival and... more

If this hotel is listed within the top 5 hotels on Tripadvisor St. Tropez's list, that’s because it’s the truth. As you entered the front gate, you feel as if you have been transported to a private Chateau. Mind you getting here is quite convoluted. You have to know their exact location or you will get lost. Their reception area... more

After having spent our Spring holidays at another 5 star property in St. Tropez (Residence de la Pinede) for over 10 years, we decided it was time to try a different hotel. The most important reason being, that La Pinede has almost doubled the roomprice over the past few years without even once upgrading the room we were usually staying... more

My wife and I (in our late 20s) recently stayed 3 nights of our honeymoon at Chateau de la Messardiere. The hotel is a good place to relax and rejuvenate if you have money to burn, and is only a short shuttle ride to town where you can enjoy the nightlife and restaurants for which Saint-Tropez is so famous. However,... more
