I stayed at the Byblos with my girlfriend at the time (not my wife) during a trip to the Cote d Azur...The Byblos has its charms....If you want to stay in town it has a great locations...Literally right in the center of town; about a 2 minute walk from the Place des Lices...It also has the best nightclub in town... more

Stayed at Byblos July '08, third time in this hotel (usually go for a few nights for a market-fix). It's a nice in-town hotel, nice buildings and layout, very comfortable, decent food, and super-expensive of course, The concierges are the guys you should listen to, they're tops and plugged in - they do tend to assume everyone wants the glitz... more

We know St Tropez extremely well and in numerous visits have stayed in virtually all of its best hotels, including Le Byblos. So, would we recommend it? Well, if it was the only luxury hotel in town probably yes but, of course, it's not, so how does it compare to what's on offer? Well, for sheer luxury Chateau Le Messardiere... more

I have stayed at this hotel now for the past 3 years and am always looking for an alternative but the location wins every time. The rooms are very small and the bathrooms the smallest i have seen but all decorated in provencal style. The bonus to staying here is the Concierge who will normally get you in to most... more

We drove into St. Tropez from Nice...what a lovely drive! The hotel is BEAUTIFUL and the staff amazing. Our room had a loft bedroom and overlooked the pool and we could see the Bay of Tropez out our window. We ate at Spoons, which was another Alain Ducree restaurant (the same chef of Louis XV in Monte Carlo). While we... more

This hotel is ok. I thought staff was friendly, but uncomfortable with how skilled they have become at separating you from your money. Everyone is in cahootz with each other to tell you how "fantastic" you are and how "excellent" everything is when half the stuff is just expensive and not that cool. Pros: excellent location IN TOWN, lots of... more

Where do I start? I pressured my husband-to-be (at the time) to spend our honeymoon in St Tropez. Boy do I wish I hadn't. We get to Byblos and the receptionist was quite cold. She didn't smile or do anything else for that matter beyond her job description which was merely to assign us a room (mind you they had... more

We recently stayed at Hotel Byblos from 10-4-05 to 10-6-05. Upon arriving, I had asked for a quiet room. When we were showed to our room (I wish I had read the advice of the prior review regarding the rooms), I found that it was located in the front of the hotel on the street. When I asked about our... more
