I spent three wonderful nights at Le Hameau in October. It was my first visit, and I will definitely return. I took the 400 bus from Nice, and there is a bus stop near the hotel. My six year old son and I stayed here for a week, and it's a fabulous location where you can walk into Saint-Paul-de-Vence.
