We loved this place. Yes, it's a bit past its prime, but there something cool about it, something that hints of bygone glamour and style. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and our room (one of the studios with a little garden) was charming and peaceful. The hotel could be upgraded, but I think it would lose a lot... More

Nice property that has outgrown its decor and in need of refurbishment. However, they made the best of that they have and our visit was enjoyable and relaxing. The views are awesome and the pool area and restaurant are pleasant and well kept. The WiFi in our rooms was poor and very slow.

We stayed there recently as we were attending a wedding in the area. The wedding probably supplied about 50 of the hotel guests which should have alerted the hotel to the fact that many of the guests would be young people from around the world who would be hanging out together round the pool and bar areas and would therefore... It was the scent of the pines - crowning the hills high above the Med - that did it: Umbrella Pines swaying gently from their vantage in the Baous (the foothills of the Alpes Maritimes). They are addictive, these pines that frame the elegant, cloister-type, lodestone hotel – with its signature lines. First opened in May 1973 the Mas d’Artigny... More

The pool was dirty and we had some bite marks all over the body. Two of them were bigger and I didn't get rid off them in some weeks. The SPA were not professional at all. My 60 minutes massage ended after 45 min...I get dressed and I went out and told the therapeut so then she told me to... More

First, the positive: The staff were well mannered and polite, especially those behind reception and behind the bar. Check-in and out was easy. The service in the restaurant was prompt and while we only ate at the restaurant once, the food was very good. The negative? The Villa room that we staying in was disgusting. There were multiple large stains... More

The restaurant had a great view. Staff was friendly. Breakfast and dinner was expensive compared to what you get, and the wifi is lousy (or even hardly excisting). Rooms nice and clean, but quite a long walk to at least some of them.

This hotel cannot be recommended as it is advertised as a 4 stars but is more like a 2 stars, the room we were in (villa) was dirty and old, small and antique bed, sinks not working and so on. The list is huge. I have never ever seen something like this. Please avoid at all costs.

It's been a while since this hotel was last decorated, but I liked it. It's a bit of a gem of decayed seventies luxury (which I think is under-appreciated). The setting has stunning view over beautiful, if a little overdeveloped, countryside. The rooms were spacious. The bed was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was perfectly fine and served on a lovely... More
