The rooms were absolutely lovely. Furnished beautifully, yet without being extremely modern. The artwork is fabulous. It's a privilege to have stayed in a hotel where the art is just so wonderful. The pool area is lovely and the diving board is great fun! Worth every penny.

I can't truely analyse why I love this place so much, it is just right in so many ways. It is understated yet classy, chic yet low key. There are of coure the amazing paintings on the walls, sculpture around the pool and the fabulous history of the place. I have two favorite places to stay and eat, this is... More

After a gap of 35 years, our meal, service, the setting and ambiance at La Colombe d'or ("Golden Dove") were just as good as I remembered. Amazingly, there are members of staff in the restaurant who would have been working there on my last visit! I understand it is considered a privilege to secure a job at La Colombe d'or... More

10th or 12th visit. We must like it. Exactly the same menu. Staff mostly the same. It's our home in Provence! Money needs spending on rooms - walk in showers next time please! We'll be back! Food is good, rooms not so good because modernisation is needed. Good value however.

We have been travelling to La Colombe d'Or for many years and we should prudently keep it a secret. This is the essence of provencal hospitality, cuisine and decor - a breath of authenticity in a sublime setting. One is unable to go beyond the superb pool, perfect bar under the direction of Manuelle, heavenly and unashamedly southern cusine and... More

We stayed for 5 nights in June 2015 in room 26 at the top of 5 flights of stairs and we absolutely loved it! Our room was spacious with a balcony with a perfect view of St Paul de Vence. A hotel with amazingly unbelievable artwork wherever you look, a stunning swimming pool with sunbeds so close you just have... More

Simple ingredients. The most incredible setting, waiters who feel like they were all 1950s film stars, simple French country classics -perfectly executed, a colourful atmosphere of utter delight. Although the Colombe D'Or is renowned for the art on its walls, it is the art of creating the perfect lunch, every time, that makes this restaurant a one off masterpiece.

I come here with my family every year. The experience is unique and incomparable. Gorgeous setting in St. Paul de Vence. White linens, works of art from Leger, Picasso, Mattise, and Calder... just over your shoulder. It is a simple place, with fresh vegetables from the garden. Crisp white linens, fresh flowers, lemons.
