This hotel was one of the best we stayed at on a trip along the coast. The room was clean, which is important to us with two small children crawling on the floor. The room could use a makeover, as the furniture was a little outdated, however that added to the quaintness. The bathroom had very little light and one... More

The hotel is small, has two nice and quiet pools, a tennis court, free parking, rooms are clean, most have their own balcony or terrace. Bathrooms are recently renovated and more than adequate. It is located in a very quiet garden with lots of trees at 300-400 meters from the nearest beach. Ste Maxime centre is located at a 15... More

This is a small and comfortable hotel with a warm and attentive welcome. We travelled by train and arrived late at night but were looked after quickly and efficiently; the proprietor even rustling up an impromptu meal. The hotel is situated in a sun trap, 5 mins from the nearest beach and 15 mins walk to the town centre. Lush,... More

We spent 4 nights here and actually we didn't want to leave.... The welcome was perfect and the (very nice and helpfull) owner realy tried all her best to give us a lovely room (we didn't make reservations so she had to shuffle a little). The room is spacious with a nice balcony with enough shadow on the second (top)... More

Loved coming back to this lovely hotel, pool and peaceful gardens after a busy day of exploring St Tropez in the hot, humid July weather. The staff is friendly and breakfast is so pleasant while sitting in the beautiful gardens. Just a 15 minute walk to the center of town and shuttle ferries.

Our overall impression of le Domaine de Calidianus is the place that combines the warmth and charm of the French Riviera for an affordable price. The owner of the hotel was incredibly friendly and nice, she helped us in our each query on the area, best local restaurants (15-20 mn pleasant walk), best way to take to our next destination... Having travelled through France by car and staying in many hotels we arrived in lovely Sainte Maxime and decided to stay for a few nights (we ended up staying 7 as it was so relaxing after much driving). We stopped at one hotel who were fully booked but they kindly rang the Calidianus who did have rooms available. We arrived... More
